And as I've said before, Dex is such a great addition as a host! Still didn't like him as a contestant haha. I wouldn't mind seeing him as a panelist for other dating shows as he is not afraid to call out the contestants as he sees it!

Personally, this is not the best season. Most of the male contestants are quite bland. I am not a huge Gwanhee fan but I do admit without him this season wouldn't be watchable.

To me none of the couples made a huge impact to the point where I would genuinely like to root for them - unlike previous seasons. However, having seen the final choices I do hope that Gwanhee ends up treating HyeSeon well IRL. Half of me wanted him to pick Minji coz she appeared to be as fake as he is (probably an unfair assumption I'm making about the both of them - as we could only judge based on what's aired) and felt that HyeSeon deserved better. The other half of me knew that he would end up picking HyeSeon as he knows she is the perfect combination of brains and beauty. I think from the beginning deep down he knew that HyeSeon was the one whom he most connected with. Minji relied too much on her looks and her conversations with him were all "look how cute I am". He had a genuine connection with Ha Jeong too who could match his banter - but when Ha Jeong told him off it was obvious that that was the end of the road for them (despite what Kyunhun thinks). But with HyeSeon, when she told him off, you could see how scared he was. I think that's why he cried at the bon fire. He felt that he was going to lose her and that scared him to his senses. I have to admit, he did seem genuine from then on. I hope that having taken so long to contemplate, his finally decision is hopefully unwavering that that he would treat HyeSeon like the Queen she deserves to be treated.

Yes and he (Gwanhee) doesn’t even make a real effort to get to know the girls. Like with Minji… he did not ask her one thing (as she said). He said he knows all there is to know?? Which is what - based solely on her appearance and ayego-ism?

Jin Seok is definitely the most genuine guy this season. Min Kyu too. Hope they will eventually meet amazing & equally genuine people post Inferno.

Yeah that was completely disrespectful. Like you could just wait til you’re back on the island. And crying like that over something so small in front of everyone… jeez. I guess in a way she and Gwanhee suit each other. They both don’t come across as genuine people to me. Maybe a bit of a harsh judgement on my side but I just can’t seem to find their positive traits at the moment .

I hope so too! She’s such a nice person and is definitely more emotionally mature than Gwanhee. She could do sooo much better. I hope she values herself enough to not be someone’s backup choice (..if Gwanhee is swayed ONE MORE TIME, which I’m sure he will be).

Don’t get why THREE girls are after Gwanhee. I just don’t see the appeal. Must be coz he’s an athlete and that’s about it.

Min Ji comes across as a pick me girl. I don’t get why she is sobbing over a guy she JUST met. I felt really bad for Min Kyu in that chopper ride. He deserves so much better.

Jin Seok is also too good for any of the girls.

I hope Ha Jeong has a good time with Ha Bin and that they pick each other in the end- even if it’s more of a friend thing.

Honestly not really feeling it with any of the contestants this season. On a different note, Dex makes a good host! Didn’t like him as a contestant but he fits well as a host.

I agree with everything you said. Especially that part about Minji. Speaks a lot about her character (or lack there of)

For only a few days then he was walking around like no body's business 😅

Rewatching this for the second time. Still really good - probably coz i forgot half of it initially.

Only thing i have to say that really doesn't make sense that irks me is:

WTF is wrong with the assistant?! Like really?? You feel your self-esteem plummeted because FL acted like finding out her boyfriend cheated on her wasn't a big deal so you purposely let her know that you are the person who "stole" him?? Like as if that's something to be proud and smug of? Just because you feel like you are not getting the opportunities that you deserved in your workplace? Like really? Like in what world that does that help with your career in any way.
Too bad she didn't actually die after jumping off that bridge. Like really? You would go that far?


Anyway good scene despite because it really made my blood boil. Haha

I salute you. Haha I really couldn’t. I tried but it was just a no for me.

I didn’t like the FL either.. which made it even harder for me to sit through.

I don’t know why people don’t really like Song Kang’s dramas. I liked almost all of it - except for Nevertheless. That I couldn’t get through the first few episodes and gave it up.

Anyway I started watching coz of Song Kang even though I didn’t have much expectations but ended up really looking forward to the next episode!

I thought so too but when Chairwoman Jo said that ‘the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree’ to the figure that she was talking to (our mysterious murderer), it made me second guess it. Coz the cousin’s parents are said to be hippies who doesn’t care about money.
Hmmm anyway like the comment above me said, I hope it’s something more interesting than the cousin.

I felt he had stronger chemistry with Mok Ha than Ki Ho did. Why couldn’t Ki Ho and Mok Ha just root for each other as normal/good friends instead of the typical first/childhood love storyline (which is getting pretty old to me).

Very well deserved! Great work all around by the entire production team. Additional thanks should be given to the writers for the beautiful storyline. My favourite Kdrama of 2023 hands down!

Yes I find it really strange that in order to succeed as an idol she needs to give up those who have supported her from the start because of a “scandal”. I’ve just finished watching Doona and it was the same storyline there. I’m really struggling with how judgemental the “fans” of these idols really are. In my country it doesn’t make a difference if you’re married or old or come from a broken home. You can still succeed if you have talent. But I guess that’s how it is in S. Korea - I kinda pity their idols.

I am finding it difficult too (to warm up to him).
