i've seen so many people talking about the acting needing improvement, but I can't tell if it's bad at all unless…
Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. I see & feel clear emotions from these 2 & they moved naturally so I don't get all the heavy criticism. It's not like the script requires major acting chops
In Dunk's defence, Zo is supposed to be awkward and dorky, so I don't mind his acting. I think he fits the role.…
Yes! That's how I feel too! While I agree on people commenting on them being poor actors, I don't necessarily see it that way. Like you said, Zo is the awkward nerdy guy whom Dunk does naturally well with the head bops and awkward walking style. Haha...and yes, I can still feel Joong's emotions through his eyes which delivers remarkably well. So I have not much to complain regarding their acting since I can still feel the emotion they want to convey without the dreadful dead eyes staring at each other as common in some BL actors
Funny how you would view Joong & Dunk that way when that's exactly how I view Pond & Phuwin's chemistry. "Their…
Lol! I love your honesty because that's exactly how I feel about those actors too! So glad to find a like-minded person on the internet. Phuwin’s acting is undoubtedly the better of the 2 but there were many instances when he failed to convey the right emotion and that was a bummer. I dropped NLMG mainly because the plot just doesn’t make sense and the acting didn’t help it one bit. Yeah, it would have been better if a different couple were given the protagonist roles. A couple that are strong enough in their acting & chemistry to be able to carry the absurdity of NLMG.
100% agree about Fourth & Gemini. I wish their new series has meaningful story-lines such as that of Moonlight Chicken to allow them to grow further as an actor. Fourth especially has got so much potential that I’d be so mad if GMMTV doesn’t give them that. That boy’s eyes are so soulful I could stare at them all day & be mesmerized by the depth of emotions.
Yeah, regarding Joong & Dunk, their acting gets a pass from me. Haha…I’m mostly attracted to their exceptionally strong onscreen chemistry. Them just being together is fireworks to me.
Omg, yes, Gun Atthaphan is simply phenomenal! I’ve never truly watched OffGun’s series together until Not Me and that was mind-blowingly good. I wasn’t interested in their past series because I was turned off by Off’s acting plus I’m not into too much angst over girls. Yes, Gun’s Black & White are unbeatable but Off’s Sean is a close 2nd. They were bouncing off the other’s energy so comfortably with neither being outshined and that’s the balance I crave in a good show.
Yes, the 4 are just not up to par to the rest of the better actors in GMMTV. I know Perth & Chimon are really good actors but chemistry wise, I wasn’t convinced in NLMG. Earth is controversially a bit lacking compared to Mix in my opinion. He couldn’t seem to let himself go completely into character as well as Mix does. Ah yes, Force & Book…I don’t know, man…feel like the 2 are just same same. Haha…
I can't help think though, that the plot might have been more entertaining if Joke was genuinely helping Zo to…
Ooh...that sounds really really interesting! Yeah, a much better plot line than what we currently have. The stalkery feel definitely lingers heavily in this series
like SIMM this has become a weirdly comforting drama for me lollike i see all thats wrong and the slightly off…
Lol! With JoongDunk, my brain just automatically turns off the logic & mediocre acting to just enjoy the pure intense chemistry. It's a truly fun experience. Haha...
I also did't like ep1 and somehow I happen to skip ep2 and after wep1 and watched ep3 and that ona was really…
Yeah, EP3 definitely felt much better than the 1st two episodes. At least there were substance & a plot to it instead of focusing on the cliché romantic moments of our 2 leads
I must confess that Dunk's acting has never appealed to me, and unfortunately, "Hidden Agenda" did nothing to…
Funny how you would view Joong & Dunk that way when that's exactly how I view Pond & Phuwin's chemistry. "Their interactions felt forced, resembling two awkward friends attempting to play-act their ship work into the series rather than being in characters". Yep, exactly how Pond & Phuwin are to me. If I were to give a ranking, I would rank Pond & Phuwin the most bottom of all the current GMM couples with Pond proving himself worthy of that ranking
I don't know what it is with these two... They get the most basic storylines and their acting is one-dimensional…
I know! You take the words right out of my mouth! That's seriously how I feel about these 2 and their shows! It's like no fluff was given to make their series interesting at all & yet I just get sucked so deeply in whenever these 2 are on screen together. They make me feel like I've entered a black hole of intense feels & stares. And I love every minute of it!
In Thailand, they have what's called a "pilot trailer." It's a trailer that's created before the show is actually…
Lol! The Eclipse's drama was so far off from its trailer, I thought it was a whole different story! I was so expecting a story about boys going into a different universe or timeline. That trailer was just hella cool
Lol! The moment I see Tay's smiley face at the lift lobby, I knew that this drama messed up big time. Tay would have aced that Achi role & New would be an ok Karan. Like adramalover said, Tay trying to look cool is just off-putting & New squishing himself to look small beneath Tay is just so wrong too. Oh God...
Probably because I knew who the director & screenwriters are, my expectation was so low I was sold purely on the main leads' chemistry. Lol! I truly relish on JoongDunk's onscreen chemistry even with how mediocre SIMM was. That series' director doesn't impress me either. Which means I had low expectations for both series, increasing my enjoyment overall. Haha...It's a series for which I switch my critical mind off & just look at beautiful Dunk & obviously love smitten Joong. Am I happy GMM gave them SIMM 2.0? No. Am I happy to see them act together again? A definite yes
They need to change the pairings too 🙄 I'm personally sick of seeing the same couples but in different stories…
At this point, it's not possible. It's similar to Philippines' love team. You get a boy & girl to act together, fans fall hard for the onscreen chemistry and they are now marketed inseparably as a romantic couple even off screen. It's a toxic business formula but super beneficial career wise. But yeah, I think it's unhealthy in the long run. GMMTV should focus on better storytelling instead of solely depending on the main leads' chemistry
Kawi from Be My Favorite portrayed the reaction that I wanted if someone confessed to you that they liked you.…
Lol! Pat's dramatic heart attack reaction from the confession was laughable and truly him. I dropped this shit show at EP8. I just couldn't take it anymore. Like you said, the reaction was too much especially for a guy who supposedly went to the states to study. How the hell did he survive over there with his crybaby & idiocy? Every time Mr. Jeng was to reprimand him a little, he goes all defensive & pouty. That's not how you survive a workplace, boy! Yes, people might say he will have character development but I've reached EP8 and his pouty face & indecisiveness is still there especially when given the heavy duty of handling the advertisement project. Working under a project manager who goes all meek when faced with harsh words and had to wait for his hero to appear to save the day. I would have rolled my eyes at the whole thing and which I did
Man is carrying everything on his shoulders , and I'm amazed at how he manages to show how much he is attracted…
To me Ben is really cute. His full plump lips is pretty sexually appealing. But his lackluster acting is where I draw the line. However good looking you may be, I need good acting to pull off a successful show! His is just not doing it for me!
Good thing Man is tall and buff because he is basically carrying this series. I'm really impressed with his acting.…
Yeah, I hated Jane & Jaab storyline so much. How is it romantic that Jane is basically cheating on his still boyfriend at the time with Jaab?! It's not like the show even tried to justify his action by making Jane's boyfriend as an abuser or something. He was perfectly fine the whole freaking time, it was just Jane falling in love with someone else! I couldn't care less for cheaters. Plus, Saint's horrible acting does not help any of their scene 1 bit
