This was rather conflicting. The main actress is a bit too conventionally attractive to be Sawako. She's not a bad actress but I can't see her and think of Sawako. On the other hand the Kazehaya actor isn't attractive enough lol.. Chizuru also isn't gal enough. The only one who matched the energy and impression of the OG casts is Yano.
Overall it's an okay adaption but the mismatched casts made it difficult to be invested in the story.
Oh wow I accidentally found this. I really love the anime, it was one of the hidden gems. Didn't even know they made a drama adaption too. Hopefully the acting can be as good as the anime.
This was my first time seeing this fruit, looks like a guava?
Not guava, it's more similar to lychee. Very sweet and juicy but the fruit itself isn't much since it has a huge seed that's obviously impossible to swallow.
What a waste of a good drama. Questionable ending aside, Jin's personality became insufferable and showed little development after 2 seasons. A lot of his internal struggles seem superficial and not things you'd expect from a veteran doctor who had encountered some of the bravest men in history. It's just mind boggling really.
One of the few live action that doesn't disappoint when compared to its anime counterpart. The anime is still superior of course but the live action holds up pretty well on its own. The casts did a pretty good job emulating their anime counterpart especially Tanabe Momoko.
Tbf this could also be classified as a food porn. It's amazing how the actresses were able to make even simple meals look like it's the most delicious food in the world. Yuno Ohara can be a little obnoxious at times but god damn if she didn't make the best "umai" face when eating even a simple ramen. I had a little reservation about her as Nadeshiko in the beginning but it was clear why they picked her.
Fukuhara Haruka is without a doubt the highlight of this drama. Just watching her satisfied face while enjoying a simple cup of cocoa in front of a majestic view of mount Fuji is enough to satisfy your entire being. It was a bit jarring to watch her acting as Rin after watching her genki persona in Koe Girls but she proved herself a very capable and flexible actress.
This drama is fucking hilarious. My favorite episode was when they parodied Doctor X. I'm guessing the casts must have had such a fun time shooting that episode.
everyone are not like you, lol.why do you think that people will not like it because of romance.. your comment…
I'm just warning people who are against extremely cliche drama, never said it was because of romance or anything. I love romance drama and this is easily one of the worst I've ever watched. Better spend your time watching other romance that won't make you want to vomit.
After watching several romance in a row, this left a sour taste in my mouth. The forced drama was easily up there with K-dramas, which means they're cliche, stupid, often solvable if they're just a normal human being with basic communication skills. I'm willing to bet that this got 8.2 because the leads are ikemen. For those of you looking for good romance stay away from this drama, the last few episodes were insufferable, unnecessary, and will make you want to punch every single character on the screen.
It was okay if you suspend belief. Like seriously a monk who rarely worships. It bothered me because the premise…
But a company heir can easily fulfill Junko's dream of living in New York and that would resolve a lot of things quickly. While I agree Takane's monk origin should be played out in more detail, it's the fact that the two mains came from a completely different cultural background that became the main source of conflict (and also its charm I suppose). If it was the usual company heir it would simply be the difference in financial strength and social status but it's not so much about that here. IMO it's a lot more interesting to see a straight-laced, socially-secluded monk fell in love for the first time (and the hilarity that ensues with his stalker-ish tendency) compared to the usual stoic company heir pursuing a girl from lower social status like Itazura na Kiss.
A masterpiece! The plot may not be that original but it was delivered in an engaging way that leaves you glued to the screen. You would, at the very least, have your eyes tear up. Not because it was tragic (though there was some part of it that was) but because it's a story that was delivered beautifully.
Heartwarming and carries a great message, not to mention the beautiful song that they used, it's definitely something I would recommend to everyone whether they're just looking for a great movie to watch with their loved ones, to immerse themselves in the beautiful scenery of Goto Island, or simply learn good cinematography.
Such anti-climatic ending. How does this get an 8.5? it's brainless fun for sure but they could at least try to make the characters more believable. Sense of humor aside these people aren't qualified to be police/detective. About more than half of the cases here can be solved quicker and I was left cursing at Sahara or whoever was involved at that particular cases for their stupidity. It's one thing not to take itself seriously, it's another thing to make the character act unrealistically just to drag the story. The final 2 episodes especially dragged on for so long only to be concluded in such a cliche and cheesy way.
Shiori Kutsuna's pretty face is just about the only good thing that salvaged this drama.
I really love her in Omotesando!! Such a great fit for the Makoto character and her energy is infectious even to the watchers. I hope she gets more main roles in years to come!
Overall it's an okay adaption but the mismatched casts made it difficult to be invested in the story.
As a matter of fact, the biggest thing that bothered me is that Miku swallowed a whole rambutan. Like WTF, did she swallow the big ass seed as well?
