The acting was fine - it might be not higher than a 7 or something but giving it a 5 alongside with a good OST that definitely deserves more than 5 is unjust. If you dislike series an give the Plot a 2 that’s fine but every part gets their own rating.
I can’t agree more, all the hype about the drama - I just don’t get it. It took me half a year to finish this series I got bored so many times to just drop it for weeks or skipped through it.
I don’t know if my personal view is distorted but this is honestly one of the most boring and therefore worst romance series I have watched.
The only review I think is somewhat spot on, the 4 and lower rated opinions made me worry. You nailed it even though I feel like I’m the only one who questioned why the setting was at a Highschool and not at an university.
Seeing how people thaught of it back in 2019 gives me some sort of relief.
I contemplated if I’m being to harsh on this thriller, but after seeing the overall opinion I guess the majority wasn’t that satisfied.
The biggest plothole for me wasn’t even mentioned, I couldn’t understand why Do-Gyu had to die. Why are you, after hacking the hacker of the computer, running away with the usb while waiting outside of your car at a random construction site - if the ML can be dropped off at a bus station just pick him up at the same spot. Meanwhile the only time anybody dares to use a gun is the „bad“ cop to shoot his colleague - makes no sense for me.
How can you not get that he didn’t rape? It was sexual assault at its best with being co-perpetretor in the rape as he filmed it, not to be downplayed it’s still horrible; but since the lawsuit is used that way there’s nothing to be done about - it just showed how good the lawyer knew his stuff.
The leg wasn’t downplayed either since he had to take the drugs to stimulate nerves and linder pain. And the doctor was part of the 3 persons at the „operation table“ in that moment; I don’t see the lack - but I’m no doctor.
If you won’t rewatch it place it on under 3 at least.
At last I share your opinion about the OST and the acting. They did a good job on that even though it was to long and should’ve been done in less than 16 episodes.
Exactly, other op's dramas reviews also was lack of development, but just until watch this drama op has the criticising…
Look at whose comment your replying. Some more of your audacity - since your argue friends account got deleted you can go and shush yourself out of "my comment section" (and if you aint seeing the " I cant help you)
How can you and a bunch of other guys go around and lead weird toxic wars about whose opinion should rule - how do you even waste your time scrolling and scrolling replying to every third comment that has an opposing opinion or your supporting your fellow believers.
And if you actually had a valid opinion you wouldnt just go around and reply to those whose comments are toxic (and reply in a toxic way) you would actually discuss with normal opinions.

What are u mumbling about under my comment?
First of all you just brought toxicity into MY comment, meanwhile you’re also the one going around playing Crybaby.
Second of all your metaphor makes no sense at all. Tf you spitting about some colors. The Comment writer said he failed to use his skills. In color terms: if Da Vinci used a different Red than Van Gogh does that make him better? It doesn’t for Jesus sake delete your comments and you and your little buddy get ur ass out holy - why do have the audacity to judge others behaviour while leading some toxic comment war
Understandable opinion. This is based on assumptions but I feel like the problem might be lying in Netflix itself. It just felt like they wanted everybody to just wait for each episode on the weekends and therefore you had those weird twists, if used with full potential those twists could actually made it way more interesting.
The Germany part was just akward and weird, displaying the country in an unusual way - except the nature. I couldn’t believe my eyes as they literally used one of the shittiest train stations as airport. The only good thing for me was giving Dieter Hallervorden an appearance, people outside of Germany/Europe won’t know him and they might couldn’t understand the analogy between him and the ML as he was old looking after Hae-in’s grave. Wasted money.
Even though your thesis is right, your implementation just lacks at every point. The problem with the drama was partially based on dragging it out, but mainly it just focused on way to much at the same time. Claims like the lack of depth regarding the MCs is not a personal opinion - you can’t state that based on past performances mixed with your own feelings.
The twists were compared to other dramas predictable but the outcome wasn’t, even though that there was potential left out they made a better job than you pointed out.
In my opinion a solution would’ve been to just erase or change the children of the Chairman (same goes for Baeks sister), to much wasted time on uninteresting plot and story’s - that’s a subjective opinion.
Based on your „subjective opinion“ none of your rated dramas should be a 10 solely because it „falls short of leveraging its impressive cast and crew to their full potential“
Even though some people were not responding in a mannered way, you should reflect your way of criticising a drama. The way you answer to these posts is rather toxic as well.
Rating Acting and OST at 5 just says everything about your opinion. Sorry but you’re honestly hilarious. Sorry the series wasn’t for you, nevertheless you should keep the facts straight.
But complimenting the acting still rating it a 2 is a joke. The music was better than a 1 as well.
Everybody has a subjective view on things but you’re just childishly downrating. Just give it a 4 and move on lol.
