Unpopular opinion: I love JCW and WJA but for me it has been average so far; episodes were quite boring and the comedy is okay, honestly expected more, but hopefully the next episodes will pick up and be better.
Wow ! Episode 1 was absolutely brilliant ! From all the 100 (+) episode dramas I have watched so far I have always been disappointed so I had low expectations for this but after watching episode 1, have to say this has one of the best pilot episodes, cannot wait for the next episode ! (Also, Seol In Ah's acting was top-notch !)
(Lol the way they choose the president). Well this was a surprise, promising start; good and enjoyable first episode. Cannot wait for the next episode !
Another day, another drama, another great performance by Kim Byung Chul. What an amazing actor ! With Vagabond and other top/popular dramas starting, this will go unnoticed and will be under the radar. From all the new ones, this definitely is my favourite so far ! Superb first episode ! (Don't get me wrong, they all had really good starts but this was so funny(I could not stop laughing), so much fun and very refreshing; no romance, none of your usual nonsense and no dull moments). Only 1 episode so far but with Kim Byung Chul, Lee Dong Hwi and the rest of the cast I can confidently say that this cannot go wrong and will be a definite masterpiece. Cannot wait for more ! (Sad that it is only once a week :( need more ! )
Was worth the wait, really good first episode ! It was captivating and intense. Lee Seung Gi was amazing as always and not going to lie I really liked Suzy here, her acting has improved a lot ! ^^ (Also, kind of irrelevant, but I really liked the Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan easter eggs/references).
I understand why people did not like it and I maybe the only one, but I really enjoyed the drama (I liked the ending too). Will miss the cast ! Also, I hope they release an album soon; magnificent OSTs !
Not my type of drama but I ended up loving it ! It has been a while since I have binged a drama but I binge-watched this one in less than a day ! This drama is a gem; everything was perfect ! Kudos to everyone who worked on or was part of the drama. SUNNY SIDE UP !
Many people have said it and I have said it before but will say it again...this drama is so underrated ! Wish everybody would stop sleeping on it ! Totally feel and sense the effort and hardwork everybody has put into the script and production. Always look forward to watching it because it's so real and refreshing. Every character is so complex and interesting (also, I love the parallels they draw about the stuff everyone is going through too). Every scene is so well done and all the actors' performances have been great ! Also I find the main couple more...secondary, for me the others and their storylines are much better and way more interesting.
I am loving this show but this episode highlighted one of the things that they really struggle with...(yes they are great at telling one story at a time) but they struggle to balance them. We had only one scene of Eunseom in this episode and it was only about 30 seconds and it did nothing other than tell us they were being held captive by the Ago Tribe. It makes the plotting uneven and drives me mad ! However with that being said, I loved the Tagon, Tealha and Tanya story we got this episode (dark and complex). Tagon struggling to be loved and come to power in a good way and just giving in to his base desires, encouraged by (his own Lady Macbeth) Tealha. Also, it was interesting seeing Tanya clearly drawing a line that Saya and Eunseom are not the same at all. (Saya is like the rest of Arth; your gosals and other killers, as we see in the scenes). Like I see all of this and it gets me pumped up, but the pacing of Eunseom's story keeps taking me away. I want to spend time with Eunseom and see him achieve some victories ! It has basically been like 8 episodes of him just getting captured, beaten, betrayed, and emotionally devastated. I need his good nature and kindness to start paying off now ! :/ (as he gathers his people to lead a revolt and turns into his badass self that we haven't seen since his fight with Tagon). #justiceforeunseom !
This show feels like a very genuine and earnest approach on the struggle of being 18. Have to acknowledge and praise the amazing cast ! Loved it, everything was excellent about this show: the characters, directing, OSTs and cinematography...except the writing. For me it was the weakest aspect of the drama. And that ending ain't it, not that happy with it :/
Great article ! This drama so far has been superb throughout, everything has been top-notch and have to give a lot of credit to the director for his directing and the whole cast for their acting, everyone has really nailed their role !
(Also, kind of irrelevant, but I really liked the Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan easter eggs/references).
