I tried Big because of Gong Yoo - but I couldn't get through I'm sorry. I watched 'Will it Snow for Christmas' only because the description said that Song Joong Ki will be in it. As a matter of fact he was only shown in short scenes and a family pic...and I watched the whole thing, I don't remember why but I guess it was in my once-I-start-a-drama-I-will-finish-it-days...what a waste of time. He wasn't even shown that much! Then I tried Triple. Why? Because of Song Joong Ki! Although he was cute, I couldn't stand watchin him not getting the girl. I'm sorry oppa. I watched dream high 2 only because of Jin Woon. love him <3. And Playful Kiss only because of Kim Hyun Joong - such a great story...such a bad execution. I watched Take care of the Young Lady only because of Yoon Eun Hye. And because of Ji Hyun Woo I watched Birth of the Rich and Invincible Lee Pyung Kang - there will be more...
I don't really know about Full House's Kang Hye Won (Han Eun Jung), but all the actors here are pretty decent korean actors with a bunch of main roles up their sleeves. funny thing. But I hated them all just as well as you in those dramas. I even dropped 'delightful girl' because their relationship humiliated my heart. But till this day I believe Uhm Tae Woong was the only edible actor in this triangle - I hated him, but I fell for his smirk.
Interesting. First time seeing so many people liking the drama. You are right - the drama was more crazy comical(I even would add cheesy and clichéd here). I guess with my favoritism of korean dramas it is no surprise that I prefer the anime/manga, when you call it "over dramatic". ^_^
I knew they dubbed them from the beginning, since there is youtube-evidence of scenes in korean. But that wasn't the thing that put me so off at first. It was the pace. I cried rivers because I waited since 2009 for it. Yes, I was overly dramatic about it. xD
Still, as a die-hard fan of skip beat, I can't understand why you like the drama MORE (so much character change in Kyoko and her world!).
Wuah I really like your article. Though I never saw any of the other version, because I liked the original so much, I never wanted to screw my love (And I don't have that much free time, my list is long). But maybe I might give one of them a try...who knows, after this awesome summarization. thumps up.
I'm a huge fan of the manga version and the anime. I only saw a part of the first ep of this and got annoyed.…
yub, let's keep our fingers crossed.

Saw her in That Fool and thought she was the most boring actress ever. And then came High Kick 3. Now I even want to watch Ad Genius because of her. It takes some guts to turn my opinion around. PARK! HA! SUN!
Thank you so much for this post. It's awesome.
I only saw her in Gokusen and in Mr. Brain but I really thought she was great. I didn't really think much about her after that but now I'm going to check her out. Thanks!

no it surely isn't an adaption of skip beat. In fact it would be weird if they made one, Siwon already is a korean ...and the guy who played Sho. That would be like a second Hana Kimi in Japan. And I didn't like that one ^^ ...maybe in a few years it would be fine.

Actually yes. The whole music was pretty well made. And I even thought the theme song and the film at the end and beginning were pretty cool. catchy songs...and hard to forget. One of the parts that was well made ^-^

I just thought about it. Maybe if Japan would make a version of it...maybe they have a better kyoko. Let's face it - taiwanese dramas are like sugar. Overly cute. The dark side of kyoko isn't just hilarious and creepy. it's also really really dark and deep. They changed that excessivly here. Most of the time she was angry...and made weird faces. There's no 'subtle' in taiwanese I guess. (Siwon is korean by the way, he doesn't count) I don't want to argue about their style, it's a thing about taste. But maybe this manga just suits the style of it's country of origin the best way possible.

Thank you for encouraging me though I actually finished it just now. xD
You are right, it got better after a while. I'm amazed how close it was to the original. Some sentences even seemed to be exactly the same. The effect of Kyoko's aha-moments never really got through to me. Thats what I liked the most in the anime. But I'm glad they gave the drama a better ending.
Things I didn't like? MANY! Things I liked. Well...a few. (e.g. Ruriko)
No one will ever be able to play Kyoko perfectly. Even before they started to film this I knew it would be hard to ever play her in a satisfying way for me. But at least they tried. Though this director really got on my nerves and that editor was half asleep while editing the first episode. I swear I remember Siwon shooting in that camera for half an hour....meehhh ^^

I only saw a part of the first ep of this and got annoyed. It was unbearable for me. But because I'm such a huge fan I want to watch it. Can anyone please give me hope that it gets better...?! People obviously liked this. There must be a reason. Would you care to tell me????? PLEASE?!

Maybe we should ask Anthony-sama (yes I totally screw up at mixing languages)
