I was rewatching the episode of HRY trying to resurrect Shi An and something clicked. It's just a possibility of course - what if the Shi An HRY saw was an illusion and that's why BJS didn't 'see' any one there in the original timeline? But may be he can see him in the memories because he is looking at HRY's past so she 'saw Shi An' and that's why present BJS who is in the past can too? If it makes sense. In reality, the person who gave the resurrection spell to HRY might be making her do a different spell? Unless I'm forgetting something. Because why is the dude eager to 'resurrect' him.
