The Mummy was atrociousπ€£.
My curiosity was piqued when I heard TTJ was a hostage prince in ep 1. After that, I just started looking for more similarities which may or may not be there.

Yeah I really love when authors mix history and fantasy together. It's kind of like how many Game of thrones characters have some similar personalities and life trajectories if compared with certain historical figures from the British Isles.

You know what? What struck me first when I watched this drama was how Qin Shi Huang-coded TTJ was. (QSH or Ying Zheng was the emperor who is generally believed to have first united China back in 245 BC or something. I know this because I'm a follower of the manga Kingdom). Both of them were hostage princes as a child, ill-treated in their host kingdom, escaped with the help of loyalists later and then ascended the throne after a coup against their cousin/brother. Of course minus the fantasy part of TTJ's life.
QSH didn't really have any strong descendants, hence the dynasty was wiped out within 2 generations (sad life) but he remains historic. This kinda aligns with TTJ's legacy as an emperor.
Also, Ying Zheng is supposed to have descended into madness soon after, in his quest for immortality and eventually died of mercury poisoning. (Hence, his terracotta army). This again could be compared with TTJ's eventual end as an emperor after going mad over his queen's death.
I'm was mostly drawing comparisons with Kingdom's Ying Zheng. Or Maybe I'm just reaching lol
Ok, I don't want to spread negatively, but this really annoys me. This is from melon account. https://twitter.com/melonconsumer/status/1689676666220552198?s=19I…
This is basically homophobia veiled as gossip. A celeb maybe gay or not. People have no business outing them. Antis can fuck off. How low of them to do this.
I know the Aug 20 melon is faker than Kim K's ass but I'm still looking forward to it. If it doesn't air on this date or this month, well so long guys.

He is definitely living in my mind rent free.
I got introduced to him via the manga I'm following.
Such a fascinating historic figure.
