I don't usually watch C-dramas or any dramas, series in general. But for some reason I watched Ashes of Love back in the day and loved Runyu/LYX. Then I kinda forgot about it, only to see LYX on YouTube singing Pipa Xing and I was HOOKED again.

So in 2020, my cousin who is a Bai Lu fan tells me "the actor you like and Bai Lu have a drama that will release soon". I checked out the trailer/teaser/promo photos https://images.app.goo.gl/QxtauBr8sPMLxsZx7 (this is what I saw). I still love this photo so much. Then I watched the drama and my love for LYX deepened. It was also the rise of my YunLu era. Naturally, I watched their second collab TTEOTM and now I'm addicted lol. A certified Luoshifen.

I think the reason why I haven't watched a lot of his work is partly because I'm very picky about dramas/series and also, coz LYX tends to do very less dramas himself.

I can't move on lol. This is probably the first time I'm aware of and anticipating all 4 of his upcoming dramas. It could have a trash plot but I will watch it. I mean yesterday I binged XO kitty and liked it so I'm in no position to judge LYX's dramas.

Yeah it must be just that. I have often found certain set of similar note progressions in different Chinese songs. So mostly a Chinese musical structure thing, I think.

Trust me, I find a lot of random similarities (for me) across whatever form of entertainment I'm consuming 😂. Can be exhausting sometimes lol
