Yes, totally agree with you on bigger stakes, bigger sacrifice. I just realized that the themes in this drama…
Agree about the fixed events part. All the characters that died in the first 15 mins of the first episode didnt survive the end. They still died in the changed timeline but the WAY they died changed. Love this concept.
Also, the way DG was so powerful. Often, the weakness of a powerful entity is themselves. The fact that literally no one was born powerful enough like him to counter him is a clue about how to end him. He was created with an auto destruct mechanism by the heaven
Saw this on X aka Twitter and thought it was funny...If MY and SJ had a baby.... 🤣🤣🤣https://twitter.com/azure_bliss1910/status/1705831978422116852
This a cute fun video but i just want to cry??? They were such a cute couple
1) Episode 1 was done really well. It engaged the audience (me) in a very interesting way (This is me speaking with hindsight). The drama literally starts out with a bang, lots of things going on at the same time with sparse narration. Our only anchor in this fast paced current of events is LSS. Once she time travels, she is as clueless as us. So as she unravels one info after another, both LSS and we go "what the heck???" lol. So i kinda found it interactive with the audience in some ways.
2. I know we will never hear the end of the discussion on the BE, HE or OE of this drama but (again, in hindsight), i realize that this drama would have always ended in a BE/OE. See, the drama showed us in its intro that the stakes are very high. Literally the end of the world. Also, it opens with a mass casualty scene. This set the tone of the drama but somewhere in the middle, we got distracted with the scenes from the peaceful times. Now i know that Devil God vs goddess is a fairly common xianxia concept but the way TTEOTM introduced the story should have already told us that the end would require a heavy sacrifice. Bigger the stakes, bigger the sacrifice. This is how i have learned to accept the ending of this drama.
