‘I May May not have seen him in his full battle armour, but I’ve seen him without clothes’… that was so funny. 🤣🤣🤣. I burst out laughing. This drama has a healthy dose of fun and intrigues. I really like all the characters, especially lord Ding and MZH. MZH is very adorable, smart and strong. Not annoying at all like the previous heroines in certain dramas. This is a healthy trend and hope it continues.

So many negative comments about Jing. I’m not sure if those who are complaining have read the novel in the first place. Xiao Yao herself has said many times why she prefer Jing to the others. Jing naturally has a very kind heart. He’s passive and wise in his approach. When the world tried to depose XY because of her father, he stood by her. And he isn’t afraid to express his feelings or even to die for her. Even feng long backed away. Knowing her father disowned her, Jing will still bring XY to meet her adopted father knowing full well he’ll be the subject of the wrath of 3 emperors. Unlike Chang xuan or Xiang Liu who can be ruthless to achieve their ambitions. Besides XY wants to be the only woman/wife in an era where they’ve filled the harem with many women. But these People should at least wait for part 2 before judging Jing so harshly. Xiang Liu willing to die for his general gong gong but he refuses to live for XY. That’s a fact. I suggest people to read the book until the season two comes out and refrain from judging the characters harshly.

XL protected XY, but had other priorities. And since he knew he couldn’t put her first, he supported the one who would, Jing. Although this heart hurt for him, but he has chosen his path. Regardless of XY allow him to enter her dream or marry him as FFbei, he will still not abandon his shen Nong army or his fellow soldiers. It would’ve been even more tragic.

So far this drama is interesting and visually pleasing. A very smart no non sense female lead. And it’s so funny. Then why the heck the ratings dropped on MDL?

As someone who read the translated novel twice and it’s prequel , this is what I’ve to say to all the shippers. Many are saying that the endgame should be Xiang liu. I would’ve loved it too. Although initially he was a bit abusive, he redeemed himself likely because xiao liu is an endearing good natured character. Those who have read the novel would know that xiao yao’s patents were exactly like xiao you and Xiang liu, at opposite ends. But they loved each other dearly and they spent only roughly a year together, when we count all those years they secretly met each other. Finally they’ll sacrifice themselves for their respective beliefs and country. Leaving behind xiao yau a young orphan unable to protect herself. Her father was a very infamous beast king and everyone hated him because he chose to voice out and rebel. In the novel, it is said the general, Xiang liu’s master, is a man of his word s, extremely honourable and his word is equal to gold. We can understand why Xiang Liu refused to leave him despite both XY father and grandfather entice him with various rewards. Because they knew XY loved him in her own way. Them being together from an opposite end is an impending tragedy. Besides XY tried to endear herself to XL but he pushed her away or hurt her feelings although he deeply cared for her and sacrificed his lives for her. What more XY could do? Cang xuan although love XY, he’ll make use of her. There’ll be a point even TSJ will be surprised by CX ruthlessness towards XY just to achieve his ambitions. Besides, who would want to fight in a harem? Will there be peace for a simple straightforward XY?
TSJ is not perfect. But he’s loyal. He’s smart extrodinaire business man. I agree he was weak in certain area because he was too kind. However, it’s him who’ll help XY to get a closure about her parents. Once he overcame his family issues, he’ll go all out to take care of XY in every way. He’ll bring her to travel, something she always wanted to do. And my husband is like Jing too. As a young girl , I was attracted to the hot ones but trust me they’re no family material. It’s dependable people like jing who’ll give us a carefree safe lives. Even in the novel Tong Hua would’ve described it beautifully. That’s from me after reading tons and tons of comments here.
