Since historically, this type of royal marriages happened, they did not consummate their marriage until they reached their considered adult age. If you’re following this drama, this is to actually protect the crown Prince, there’s nothing perverse about it! Nothing twisted is being promoted!

I’m thinking the same as you! I think that after someone tried to disconnect her from the respirator, the father is protecting her somewhere in the hopes of catching the culprit.

As a mother of an autistic daughter, I will tell you they tend to obsess on things that catch their attention. My daughter, who’s 30, obsesses over a few different things. She has a lot of stuffed toys, on her bed which she ritualistically removes at night, and places her on her bed in the morning, in her own organized way. She obsesses over, Star Wars, and Animal Crossing, and Overwatch, and has plushies of all of them. She makes up stories all around those topics. No special reason why they obsess over any particular subject, is just what they happen to like. When my daughter was very little her thing was Thomas the tank engine, she had most of all the trains and lined up perfectly every single day.

True! But like you said, at a young age. When you’re older it’s harder, unless you are gifted to do so. I’m 60 and picking up a new language easier, than other people that are younger around me. When you’re a child, learning a new language, it’s way easier. I learned English at 5 years old, and French at 10 years old. I’m argentinean and also speak a bit of Italian. When you learn a language in your 20s, even your accent is heavy! Even so, it always depends on the person’s ability to learn!

I’ll just say, just because it’s easy for you to learn different languages, is not the same for others. We all have different gifts and talents. There are people that are exceptional at math and understand it very well. For others not so much! I’m also fluent in 3 languages and learning another one at the moment, but I know many people that have been trying for years to learn a second language, and they can’t. Never measure others according what you can do, because we are not all the same. As far as the female lead,again, what you like may not be what others like and viceversa, I particularly like the dramas she’s done.

Everything thing that you say was expected, is there. Actually, that’s what’s attractive about this drama, as I expressed in my earlier reply, the complexity of the characters and their trauma, and actually you can see how the characters are changing and growing. So, I don’t see the problem, just because theirs a bit more romance, the problems that the characters are facing are at the forefront.
I usually don’t comment on things, but I decided to do it this time, because as an older adult (60) I think I’ve learned a thing or two in my life , and tried to bring that perspective into this, to just enjoy what you watch and not to be so gung ho about things. Everyone is allowed to voice their opinion! By exercising my right to my opinion, I’m also trying to have others learn from me, if they do choose. Life is full of trials, and dramas are their to entertain, not to create problems that don’t exist. Again, it’s entertainment, so we can sit and just enjoy, and if we don’t like it switch to something else. Are you paying for a specific drama or a service. See if I sit at a restaurant and order steak and get chicken , instead, I have the right to complain, but if I go to a buffet and that day they happen to not serve steak, they don’t owe it to me. So if I pay for something specifically, which was described in detail and I don’t get it, then I would understand, but if not then, again I continue to have my choice to watch or not. People can complain all they want, I just think there are more important things in life.

As a fan of Kdramas, I enjoy them as they come, not focusing where they get their inspiration from. I’m watching this drama completely immersed in the complexity of their relationships, and the traumas they lived through that made them be the people they are now. I believe this drama is well written and well acted, and touches many issues that sometimes are put under a rug. They don’t owe us anything, people in this industry can get inspiration from anywhere they please. I just sit and enjoy! True Beauty is another example of a drama based on a webtoon, that wasn’t even finished, not exactly following the original, and was greatly enjoyed by many. At the end of the day, it’s just a a drama to enjoy, if you like it watch it, if not, we’re free to move on. I’m not putting any money into it, just pay for the streaming service where I can watch other dramas, if I’m not interested in a particular one. Or watch for free on Dramacool. They’re not profiting from me or others.

I’ve seen many comments complaining about how this drama doesn’t line up with the webtoon. What many fail to understand that most of the time many dramas are BASED ON, not a copy of the original drama. When a work is based on, the scriptwriters will take certain elements of the original yet go on a different storyline. So stop comparing it and just watch it as a stand alone drama.
