I always find it funny when people complain about a ROMCOM being a ROMCOM....

I haven't watched but Iam seeing spoilers on twitter and tiktok saying it's a sad ending 💔

I started mentally preparing my self for the ending a few episodes back but......

The only annoying character here is Li Ying or something..I actually find Milan's switch in character rather interesting..she's more vibrant, witty, and you can see that she's happy with the person she has become.....it makes sense considering she could have felt limited back then.....her change in character means that she's happy...and it's showing in her actions and everything

Well he lacks human emotions...so that can explain why he comes off as heartless.....

Still loving this show nonetheless I mean yes the censorship did Rob us of something but I love how it still is entertaining and engaging......and to be honest as some one who has been really picky with cdramas this year...Iam thankful this got me right out of that slump......so the story alone being engaging, the acting being really good In addition to the interesting characterisation and amazing cinematography and osts plus direction....all those cover up for the holes left behind by the censorship for me...so yes drama could have been even better but it's still nice.

It's actually sad how we are already half way through the drama and people still haven't understood Shen's character....things like why isn't he killing Li yiyang? Why is he putting up with him blah blah can be answered if you understand his personality....we talking about the same Shen who broke into tears because he was forced to go berserk and kill people..he cried because he unwillingly went against his principles....yes these people are evil and we expect him to be tougher but then again we can't look past the fact that he is the kind of person who values human dignity, values his principles, and his no violence policy and he's not just going to push that aside because to him it means that's he will be stopping down to their level..it's frustrating but that's his character....I guess he's a little too human for the glorified vampire you want him to be.....

And I must say that's what makes him a character I root for....he doesn't feel too over the top..he feels like any other person..with emotions, values principles...and even flaws...yes he's the vampire that has lived for a century but can still make mistakes why because living for 100 years doesn't automatically make you smarter or stronger....maybe older yeah🤣

That's how I see his character personally.

This whole Shen and Situ situation is something some of us had seen coming or had probably guessed would happen....

Shen is someone run by emotions so it's only normal he feels betrayed that situ weilan didn't reveal his true identity to him considering Shen was open to him about the lost brother matters.

That being said situ weilan isn't at fault either....he hid the secret because he also obviously guessed that Shen will push him away or something...

No one's at fault Shen's reaction is justified and situs reasons for hiding his identity are justified as well....

They are together in the teasers of episode 13 - 15 Iam sure we getting more of their interactions in the second half of the drama

Nothing not even a sob story can make me feel bad for Li Ying and I agree with everyone else I can't have a short episode and then have liying take up 80 percent of the screen time when he's character seems so aimless......I really hope they aren't planning to give him redemption at the end because he doesn't deserve it....my blood literally boils when he's on screen.....

Liying aside teasers for the upcoming episodes look so good....can't wait

It's one episode for today, Saturday and Sunday maybe we shall get two on Monday next week....

I mean they even removed the word vampire from the sinopsis later on the blood....to be honest Chinese drama censorship sucks....that's a fact because at times it doesn't even make sense

Like the moment he broke down I broke down too.....

I also only rate firstly after the first half and then give a final rating when it ends...so I hope more people watch and rate it accordingly

Milan to Li yiyang: " Mr Shen has never paid attention to you..why do you keep pestering him?"

Like I have the same question girl unless I missed an episode.....Li yiyangs so called feud with Shen is so aimless🙄

I came to write a long praise review for the first ten episodes of the drama only to find it having an 8.0 rating..like 8 is good but this show deserves better....so far Iam impressed infact my wait so far was worth it...from the acting which is excellent...to the characterisation to the production, the cinematography, the plot it's self which has kept me riveted and hooked..to the back ground music to the set up everything about this show is Soo good so far and if it keeps this quality up then I might have to give out my first 10/10 rating of the year...like please keep being good till the end

I mean you do have a point and I don't know the backstory of how she accepted the role and whether she was forced or if it was even consensual....my main problem is with people that are clearly just biased people who find the whole age gap concept gross because they believe it is.....which in my understanding it isn't..but then again different tastes and preferences and views and opinions that's why I felt the need to give mine and I appreciate as much feedbacks and replies from people.....

Also I agree with your view and I've seen posts about a similar thing but we also don't know the truth...and it's uncertain.....
