No matter how good the second couple is, they’ll never touch the main couple’s chemistry. Nam Ji Hyun is literally…
They’re not gonna push someone who’s playing a second lead for the very first time into a full love-line second couple. In this drama, just the fact that Hong Min Gi is positioned as the male lead’s rival already makes his character stand out. Both the male and female leads have done tons of romance dramas before, but neither of the two second leads has any romance drama experience yet.

I don’t think people have really watched Hong Min Gi’s dramas. Most of the projects he’s been in are school fight–type dramas, and even there his roles were more like guest or minor characters.
This is actually his first time playing a second lead, and attending a press conference like this is also his first experience. He’s still very inexperienced when it comes to creating a love line as a second lead, and even the whole “rival type” dynamic between the male lead and second lead is something completely new for him.
He still has a lot to learn.
To My Beloved Thief was written by the screenwriter back in 2020 and even won a Script Excellence Award. The script was already completed from the start.
When the cast was first announced, Nam Ji Hyun and Moon Sang Min were officially introduced as the main leads, while Hong Min Gi and Han So Eun were listed as supporting roles. Only later were they added to the main character lineup. From the beginning, it was clearly a supporting character role.

The reason they not give Jaeyi & Haerim moments as second couple and fight for useless love square because…
No matter how good the second couple is, they’ll never touch the main couple’s chemistry. Nam Ji Hyun is literally a chemistry queen—she has chemistry with everyone, so it’s not even a fair comparison.
And honestly, this is Hong Min Gi’s first-ever second lead role. He doesn’t need a forced love line with the second female lead. Let him breathe—it’s his first character.

dang all the airing kdramas are 8.1 or lower, yall are harsh 🥲
The low ratings have nothing to do with the actors or actresses — it’s because of KBS2.
KBS hasn’t been able to produce really good dramas for a long time.
To My Beloved Thief is currently the highest-rated show on KBS, and it’s the one lifting KBS back up again.

ohh FFS! I was sooo getting into this drama til this body swapping crap, my most hated trope! 🤬🤬🤬And…
You only watch Chinese dramas, huh? It's obvious you haven't watched any Korean ones. I can tell, you've only seen one drama, Dear X, and you're already criticizing it.
"The two Chinese dramas you watch, even people in our country don't watch those( your review list ). You should start by looking for the good dramas to watch first before criticizing what you haven't even seen properly."😆

The drama is great - I cannot predict what'll happen and I think they excuted the body swap perfectly. Nam Ji…
Some people might say Nam Ji Hyun can’t pull off a character like Yi Yeol because she has a cute voice.
But once the body swap happens, her voice 🔥and presence clearly change — the cute voice is completely gone. Anyone who’s watched her dramas before knows what her real voice is like.

I guess I am the only one who absolutely LOVES the show and thinks the Lead actress is genuinely pretty? Wtf are…
They’re body-shaming the actress just because they’re jealous. Nam Ji Hyun is pure-hearted, and her beauty is honestly incomparable. I’ve watched hundreds of K-dramas with so many actresses, but I ended up falling for Ji Hyun. Especially the way she has amazing chemistry with every actor she works with—Seo In Guk, Park Hyung Sik, Seo Kang Joon, Kang Hoon, Chae Jong Hyeop, Choi Hyun Wook, Lee Jun Hyuk, Ji Chang Wook, do kyung soo and more.
Among them, Lee Jun Hyuk, Ji Chang Wook, and Seo In Guk are much older than Ji Hyun, but the chemistry still works perfectly. That’s why people call her the “chemistry queen”—she clicks with everyone she acts with

for some reason I feel when Yeol in eun joo body, he look more fierce. At least when he confront Im Jae I . Maybe…
Looks like because Eun Jo got married, she’s styling her hair like married women in the Joseon era
