I agree with your comment, the episode with nany Zhen , was word by word identical as in the novel, not the part that old Madam pass away after hearing the truth,I was nervous that maybe she will die after the confession and I'm very happy that the writers changed that part.
But we have to realize that this is a complete new story, based on the novel but complete different.
Because china banned the reincarnation from the dramas. The writers can't bring up that Yin Ning was in her previous life Meimei married to Jia xue ,then she died and reincarnated in Yin Ning .
And because of that the second male lead looks in the drama as a deranged and obsessive person. In the novel he spent years looking for her. In my opinion the viewers will never conect with him and his love for Meimei.
Also in the novel Ying is not cunning and intelligent as she is in the drama. But this is good because when I was reading the novel I got frustrated many times with her character, I understand that she was a fourteen years girl, but she was not mature as Yin Ning is in the drama. And I enjoyed her Inteligence and very cunning plans.

But because in the novel Yin Ning was before Meimei , she married Jin Luxue and the she died and reincarnated in 7 years old Yin Ning. In the drama her reincarnation can't be brought because china banned the reincarnations in the dramas. So I don't know who the writers will explain Yin Ning identity.
