I prefer Japanese mangas with Japanese characters stay in Japanese media. They're just doing it good and japanese movies and dramas have their own charm. But koreans should definitely have adaptations too because when it comes to romance, the dramas and storylines are just so weak that I can't handle it anymore. They need help.
But just like I say, Jmedia really does it good. And I don't think they need kdramas to have perfect adaptations.
Subs for episode 6 - Probably my favorite episode. Also please note that the original subber hasn't apparently dropped it, so if that is the case, you might want to continue with them.
I remember first watching in the 2001 version of Mukodono (I feel super old) and thought he was such an amazing…
I've been looking for that episode all over the internet. not just he's generation. He started out too young. He's probably a senpai to some older generations as well. It's lucky that he continued with his acting. I agree about him being a great child actor. If you liked Mukodono, you should try Good News. It's being subbed now. He is adorable. and such a natural for his first drama role. Chibi Ryuchan is the best
Thank you SO MUCH for this article!! It's always so nice to see articles about Japanese dramas because they've always been my favorite. I also completely agree with Sumi's last words. That's what I always try to remind people, actually. Those who think the acting is bad and over the top mainly think of manga adaptations because YES, they are dramatic, that's like the whole point. But crime and slice of life j-dramas are so amazing and the acting always feels so... natural? and real? They make me feel so many emotions that I don't often find in dramas from other countries (not saying those are bad, just different). So thank you again for this!!
Japanese dramas never disappoint. Especially in terms of acting and emotions. Most long dramas make me drop it atleast once, but I've yet to come across a jDrama that does this. I began my venture into asian dramas with Hana Yori dango (my favorite version and also the least popular adaption of Boys over Flowers, which is funny considering that it is the manga's home country.). Japan can make drama/movie with absoluetly no plot and still bring you to tears. I wish people gave them more chance.
My favorite j-drama is Kimi Wa Petto, (the 2017 version with my fave Shison Jun), and I will watch just about…
There is no such a website because Japan has no interest in international market, their home market is very strong and apparently enough for them. They are already selling manga and anime abroad, but yeah, this is a shame they don't want to sell their dramas. I, too, would gladly pay for such a website.
