Hearing āI donāt want to understand youā from a partner is nightmare fuel enough but they somehow made it even worse because Hiraās intentions were actually good. I donāt yell at my tv a lot (ok thatās a lie⦠I watch BL so basically all I do is scream at my tv) but I was apoplectic by the end of this episode.
I haven't gone so far as to skip their scenes but they make me cringe so deeply and so thoroughly I don't know…
Yes! The basis of their relationship is just bizarre and their chemistry has not improved in the most recent episode. Also Anson Chen 2.0 has way too many teeth. There. I said it.
I didn't know stronger filters than the ones they used in S1 even existed. Their faces are so blurry they look like they're standing in the background of a Zoom call. My bois deserve better than this š«
I also really wanna know what their REAL characters, outside of the public eye is like. Dew is not as innocent…
Yesss the gossip account I didnāt even think of that one! Theyāre definitely not what they seem. When Dew asked Peek, āYou donāt want to be on my team?ā They way it was asked was so āout of characterā like the mask slipped. I need to know everything now haha.
I need to know what the deal is with P and Dew. The dramatic outfits, plushies, and strict adherence to traditional gender roles despite it being 2022 are throwing me hard and fast into Delululand. Iām 100% convinced their twist is going to be someone walking in on Dew powertopping P. Itās the only thing at this point that makes sense.
This series has everything. Hot lead crawling around on the floor to steal a bag? Check. A person not understanding a file can be stored outside of a phone? Check. A bizarre tonal shift into Dom/sub territory only to switch dramatically back to comedy? Check. Shampoo bottle fellatio? Check. A surreal ghost story that comes out of the blue? Check. An actual sweet moment between the leads where they share a dessert? Double check.
This show is perfect hahaha it is incredibly stupid and the stupidity was established in episode 1. Itās gonna stay stupid and that is truly the charm. This isnāt dark BL. Itās a comedy pretending to be dark but the darkness is really only there for horny purposes. Flawless. Iconic. Mad.
Tess: I canāt take it if he hurts me three times. Also Tess: rejects living with Tun so he needs to move back in with his parents and gets depressed, brings around a girl to throw at Tun, rejects him every time Tun goes for a kiss.
Exactly how has HE been hurting YOU? This has all been brought on by Tess! The writing in this show is gonna make me bald.
Ugh loving this SO MUCH so far. I hope it keeps up the comedy and dynamic interactions between the characters. I especially loved the "1, 2, 3..." finger count. Such a promising start and interesting premise!
Had such high hopes for this but itās been a dumpster fire for a few eps now. Honestly. If the focus was the two MCs trying to figure out together how to navigate a romantic relationship when they had been friends for so long, that might have been interesting. I honestly thought that was the plot when I started this. But they skimmed past all that to focus on dramatic trash thatās really threatening my last surviving braincell. Iām not even going to get into the side couple because that might be the final straw that has me slipping into a coma fr.
This damn show drove me insane but finale sent me into space omg ā the message about marriage equality was so so amazing and I LOVED the cameos and behind the scenes. I think the BTS was my favourite part of the whole series lol
I understand how some people wouldn't like the acting in this but Holland won me over in the first few episodes. He was laid back and intriguingly chill and doing his best with a bizarre script -- he seems like the type of actor to act "as himself" which brings authenticity to his role. I'd love for the story to have more time to breathe without all of the pointless subplots. That would definitely help with the chemistry, giving the two leads time to develop a relationship outside of like... meeting and then moving in together for some reason.
I have so many damn questions about this show lol. Namely, why are the writers doing this? Why??
I had such high hopes for this show and only two eps in and it's exceeding my expectations! So excited to see where they take the rest of the series. They clinched it with the extra squeeze bottle scene in ep 2 lol
