Hands down, my absolute favourite kdrama scene of all time will always be the story behind the king's portrait. An entire legacy of him being known as (to put it bluntly) an idiot — all because he made a funny face so that his wife would laugh.
I have butterflies in my stomach. This was just such a special moment.
I can already tell I'll be rewatching this drama soon. Everything was just perfect. Shin Ki Tae's expressions, little runs and teasing voice had me giggling throughout every episode. The connection between the two actors just made everything better; their chemistry was overflowing. I enjoyed everything about this drama, especially the dating sim scenario at the end. It's like a two in one. This is definitely one of my favourites now.
Currently watching ep 16. I really wish someone would tell Prince Yeongpyeong off for his actions. At the beginning, he questioned the King's decisions when he was simply trying to judge his wife's character without making assumptions (again I'm talking about the QUEEN, who didn't actually do anything that went against the King, her only "fault" was her family name). However when it comes to the woman Prince Yeongpyeong is so clearly in love with, it is perfectly acceptable for him to turn a blind eye to the things she did for her personal grudges that clearly put the king at a disadvantage.
His character overall is a little charming, in the sense that his loyalty is pure and true, however I detest the underlying hypocrisy.
Started the movie at 5am, not expecting to actually finish it in one go. Three hours later and I can't wipe the smile off my face. Can my day get any better?
In my opinion, the directors trying to get the same outcomes as the webtoon, while using watered down situations that didn't match the original storyline at all was what made this drama truly unsatisfactory.
To name some: Han Joon Seok's car accident. In the webtoon, he was in a car crash and suffered severe leg injuries. If I'm not mistaken, he could have been paralysed(lost his ability to walk). This is where Gu Mu Yeong's reasoning for always being at his beck and call kind of made more sense. He really believed his friend was depressed, and even suicidal. Though Joon Seok took full advantage of his accident by cleanly cancelling his engagement and guilt tripping Mu Yeong into staying by his side every chance he got.
Side note: I've seen some people root for the best friend, and that's all good if you do too, however it's a big no for me. In the webtoon, he is nothing but an a**h***. Really, his character was the worst.
Then there's the birthday scene. In the series, the only accurate part is Mu Yeong leaving because of a sudden 'emergency' at the hospital, and Seon Ho telling him not to go or it's over between them. In the webtoon, they're at the airport, ready to go on a trip that they've been planning for a while. Mu Yeong gets a call from the hospital caregiver that Joon Seok tried to kill himself but he is out of danger, and so he leaves the auther at the airport and rushes to the hospital only to see his friend completely fine. And Joon Seok having his cast taken off was the replacement scene for the webtoon scene where Joon Seok could finally take a few short steps all on his own after many weeks of physical therapy. Also a small detail, rather than that sweet letter, Mu Yeong gave Seon Ho a coupon. This started off as a joke between them, where Mu Yeong could make any wish and the auther would fulfil it. His wish turned out to be him asking his boyfriend to let him leave so that he could run to his friend.
There are many other things to point out obviously, but to sum it up it's because of this poor plot direction that made this mini series so confusing. But it's to be expected with any series with 15 minute episodes. Also, the casting drama should also be taken into account. The first few episodes really showed potential, possibly because the actors were more comfortable by then (I think I read somewhere in the comments that the series was shot backwards). However by episode 5, things only spiraled downwards. The ending scene was cute, but there was literally no feelings or chemistry. The actors were very awkward. But despite everything, Ko Chan Bin really caught my attention; I immediately fell for his smile at the beginning of this series. This adaptation really had potential, even given it is obviously a completely censored storyline, and I really wished everything wasn't so rushed.
I found a lot of negative comments about this drama, which surprised me, so I'm adding my own opinion. In short, I found this drama very cute. The conflict with the employees and management was kind of a tug of war that I lost interest in, and I can see why the main leads would frustrate some people, however oddly enough I became very fond of both the couples and really enjoyed this series.

No. If I'm not mistaken, she has no relationship of any kind with the ml (not even friends). I think they know each other on a professional level more than anything.
If you want to put blame about the Rain/Sky friendship on anyone's shoulders then... it's the novels author. The…
The series never even hinted at the fact that Rain knew anything about what was going on in Sky's life, which I find sad. I feel like I'm missing out on understanding the depth of the characters because I never read the novel. I hope others who only watched the series, such as myself, will read the commentary to better understand, otherwise I feel like we're going in completely blind.
I originally wanted to edit my previous comment at the beginning of the PrapaiSky entry into the series, but the amount of scrolling I've done is exhausting, and I still did not get far enough. MDL needs to fix this :(
PhayuRain were my OTP, and they still are. Nothing will change my mind about this; I love them too much. I was a bit skeptical with PrapaiSky because their story wasn't really my cup of tea, but I'm glad I didn't drop this because I've fallen for them so hard.
This series has its faults, but I can only choose not to linger on the red flags and toxicity because this is what the directors have given us. But I do believe both couples are beautiful in thier own way. They obviously have their faults, but that's why I've been pausing and scolding them every episode.
The only grudge I'll hold onto is the fact that they had to paint Rain as the shittiest friend out there just to get the PrapaiSky ship sailing, which I found completely and utterly unnecessary. I feel like this series would have been even more enjoyable if they didn't solely focus on the couples, but also gave true friendship between Rain and Sky some screentime. It would have been amazing to see Rain be there for his friend, for the two to talk about their problems, and for them to be rightly protective over each other.
It made sense when Rain told Sky about Phayu, and how he continued to speak about his relationship with his friend. He knew he was being annoying, but still wanted to brag, and friends are there to listen even if they don't want to. In that same case, Sky should have also been able to open up even a little bit about his bad experience with his ex.
Realistically, if I had gone through a similar experience, I wouldn't be able to tell anyone about it, not my parents or my teachers or anyone else. But I'd want to seek comfort in my friend, so even if I didn't disclose in detail what was wrong, simply conveying to my friend that I am struggling and I need their support would do wonders for my mental health. It would have been nice to see something to this effect in the series. Alas, we've almost reached the end of this journey and cannot hope for such a development.
@E_Maya I agree with this comment. It really broke down the situation that my brain was struggling to digest. But I have a habit of scrolling through the comments whenever I start a new series, and it's relieving that I don't expose myself to spoilers unless I want to. This comment brings up a lot, and for some who haven't started LITA yet, I believe it can be considered a spoiler.
