this is surprisingly good! it starts with episode 1 being an action pack banger and the pace continues to intrigue me all the way to episode 7. I love how the setting of the drama is different from other historical dramas. It's so refreshing! the female lead acts so well. the male lead is not your typical noble man that is sort out by every girl. the gong zi guy is such an eye candy as well. I'm so glad that it's not SE. Destiny of the white snake already got me bawling. I can't do another tear jerker T^T
the freaking cliffhanger though! Omg this show just never stops surprising me!! I have a feeling nam shin will…
omg true. Since throughout this whole drama, Sin3 have done nothing but help all the humans around him. I hope in the end, he does not sacrifice himself for the humans, but instead, be able to be friends with the humans like he always wanted T^T. I feel like at the end, we think Sin3 died, but in fact, David took him to a far away place. since the actor said it will be a happy ending, it might go down the lane of So Bong finding out where Sin3 is and runs to him. but i hope to god that's not how it goes down
omg, human Sin is really messing around with everyone. Seems like Sin3 is going to be placed on manual mode in the next episode. I am hoping Sin3 is able to turn manual mode off himself - since his an intellectual being and in the past episodes he showed that he was able to develop outside of his mum's programming.
Human Sin seems to have some sort of feelings for So Bong. It uneases me when he told her that she was the only one who is able to differentiate him from Sin3. It's like confessing that she's special. And from the trailer, it seems like she's going to smack senses into him - which i hope does not make him fall for her or something. and the kill switch. OMG, no one better know about that. I hope human Sin will start working with everyone. secrets just keep getting leaked out to the wrong people. this is like a game of chinese whispers right now. Sin3 better be alive at the end of this T^T
"the heroine is sold to a brothel at the tender age of 16 where she’s tortured, assaulted, and treated like crap until she’s rescued and sent to be trained as the top assassin". UMMMM I'm scared to watch this. does this have a sad ending? someone spoil me
Finally! I was waiting on someone to talk about the ending so I can rant about it too. I was looking forward to…
Oh, I meant the promise was made before his hair turned white (when they were still together). So the ending scene is a metaphorical scene for that promise. But I haven't watched everything yet and just read it from another fan site so I'm not sure if it's true.

Agree! I can't believe they ended with xiao bai praying underneath the water. I read from somewhere that the umbrella scene at the end is from a promise xu xuan made to xiao bai, where he said he'll be there to be her umbrella when it's raining and shield her when its sunny. So it's not actually him coming back to life, it's just his promise in a metaphorical pov. But IDK and i hope that's not really what the ending is meant to be interpreted as T^T
I think it goes pretty fast. I like this adaptation so far though i don't know if i can watch it all because i…
it's different from the original story for sure. the main essence of the story is still there i think. i heard someone mentioned it was an interpretation of the original story.
How sas thé first épisode ? Does it go fast? I mean the story? I dont wanna end up dropping this drama. İt…
I think it goes pretty fast. I like this adaptation so far though i don't know if i can watch it all because i don't really like sad dramas and the original story is known to have a sad ending :/ . The chemistry between the 4 leads are so adorable. the female and male lead is so cute together. the drama is funny, sweet and adorable but the main leads kept been placed in complicated situations, one after another (especially after episode 30 - i was curious so a scanned through the episodes).
Basically, from what I've watched, the story starts off with a white snake who was led by her master to a mountain where an immortal lived. the white snake's master spoils her disciple too much and is not strict enough on her, so the white snake still have not taken the form of a human and her cultivation is still low. the master left the white snake near the immortal's home so he could take her in and train her in the master's stead. As expected, he took the snake in because he thought she was lost and she soon took form of a human while watching him train. things start to change when she became a human (he no longer feeds her her food himself and she have to learn how to eat herself, she can't sleep with him, she can't leech onto him etc because she is now in human form so she should learn how to act like a human). Shenanigans happen on the mountain as she learns to cultivate. fast forward a little, the male lead basically died fighting a demon dragon (or trapping it or something). the white snake found a piece of the male lead's soul and grows it in her body for 500 years. after 500 years, his friend (the second male lead) worked together with the white snake to reincarnate the male lead. the deity master (or immortal) found out and punished the friend to reincarnate as a human to fight demons until the world is at peace and demons no longer harm the mortal world, and the white snake was entrapped (i think) for 20 years.
20 years later, the white snake, the green snake and the 2nd lead (the demon catcher) met the male lead, who was reincarnated into the head of a Sec of a medicinal valley ( similar to what he did as an immortal). At first, she thought there was no way this master of the medicinal valley is the immortal because unlike the kind immortal she lived with, the male lead was sharp mouthed, arrogant, and stingy. she then thinks, what a shame that the immortal's handsome face is on such a person XD.
When the demon catcher met the male lead, he was injured by the green snake and her mob. the male lead takes him in but takes his time attending to the demon catcher's injury because he doesn't like demon catchers (he thinks demons are just like humans and shouldn't be caught just because they're demons). The Sec sister who tries to cure the demon catcher but ends up torturing him with her failed medicinal skills, so the male lead steps in. He stabs the demon catcher with many pins, making the demon catcher vomit blood everywhere and demands payment for his service. as the demon catcher is rotten poor, he forces the demon catcher to stay in his Sec until he can pay. But it was all talk of course, he was actually helping the demon catcher and is just putting a cold front.
the green snake is super cute and innocent, but she creates a lot of trouble when they first met. she tried to revenge the demon catcher because he kept trying to catch her demon mob gang and then ends up poisoning the Sec sister with a deadly snake poison while trying to escape. later on she leeches on the demon catcher non stop and ends up free loading in his dirt poor temple.
The two deity masters of the male lead and the second male lead is always trying to help their disciples, which was cute as well. but the male lead's deity master is also the reason for many things that happen between the white snake and him. the male lead's master is always thinking in the best interest of the male lead and tries to save him from his tribulations, but ends up not thinking in the interest of the white snake. the second male lead's deity master, however, is very strict on his disciple.
The thing about this adaptation is that the male lead is not a weak, clueless scholar like in the original story. He catches on things pretty quickly. Because he is a doctor, he sees all life as equal and is kind, though he masks it with arrogance. Unlike the original story, both the male and female leads sacrificed so much for each other (especially after episode 30).
Big spoiler ----------------- --- by the end of episode 33ish, the male lead marries the white snake, leaves the Sec, forgets all his memories of the white snake then remembers everything very soon after (he remembered his past life as an immortal as well). Other tribulations await for the 4 of them that relates to the demon lord (who seems to have previous feelings for the white snake in which she does not know about) and a tribulation that will meet the whole 3 realms of human, deity and demons in general. the male lead is cursed with a personal tribulation to pass and that tribulation (or fate?) may now shorten his life as he took part of the white snake's punishment in one of the arcs. the white snake knows this from the male lead's deity master and wants to take this tribulation away for him but he then kicks her back to her master to cultivate and they seperate ways. i'm assuming this is where the story will get even more intense.
when shin 3 was arguing back to his mum (acting more like a human), the real shin's heart monitor suddenly dropped. yeong hoon also said he was acting more and more like shin. was this intentionally signalling something?
that shocked me as well. it was so sad when the mum strongly disagreed with the wedding and said she'll stop it no matter what and david thought it was because she was worried about shin III's safety. But her face looks like she's only doing it because because the fiance was the daughter of the man that nearly killed shin and possibly have killed her husband :(.
As of right now she's definitely not thinking in shin III's best interest. She also promises him that they'll leave together soon but shin III obviously felt something was up
I think shin III will find out about the kill mode but would just accept it because his so filial right now.
He was programmed to be affectionate. His mother only created him to fill the gap left by her real son but now…
I feel like she wants to get rid of shin android in case someone finds out what she have created and wanted her to replicate it and sell it to the market. but still, that's not a good enough reason to rip him off his life and chance to live :(. I feel like she have created more than just an AI without knowing it. His developing and the span of his development as of right now seems to be infinite. this is the core difference between a human and a robot (robots have finite development where they can only mimick the functions built in within them and can not develop further than that)
I have the same feeling as well. That is why I stopped watching until it will end. Namsin3 is adorable and I just…
same! he said he have no emotions but i think his developing to have emotions and he might not even know it because it's not a functionality that is in his 'manual'. It's so sad that even his mum think his just a robot :(
you know, nam sin3 is like a phone to his mom, it has all of your pics, all of your memories, all of the apps…
I hope so because she said she installed the kill mode when shin III went to korea to pretend to be real shin. that means the previous shin models does not have the kill mode. that might also mean this time, the data will be entirely wiped out and shin robot will really disappear forever. I don't want shin-bot to die. that'll be so sad :(
OMG thanks for sharing! :D That wall does not look cheap. I'm so excited!
i know what u mean. I think i watched around 20-30 episodes and the storyline definitely picks up at that point. but then i heard it starts to lag again at around episode 40. But i love how raw the aesthetics are for T&E (especially the tribe scenes)! Hopefully they'll keep that cinematic aspect of it (in which hopefully they will with all the funding they have) and nothing else lololol
