Tin and Can's chemistry was definitely better in the 1st season. And when they finally get their own series, the chemistry and acting just...downgrades? How does this even work smh
A controversial comment but here I go. I really had high hopes starting this one. Dropped and started again 5 times. Nope, still don't feel it. The storyline is no doubt very intriguing and along with the character settings, this was bound to be a masterpiece. Where did it go wrong? The chemistry. I do not understand how in the world does the ML start liking her? Maybe I would have focused on the hate-love relationship between him and the SML. Maybe I would have wanted the FL to be written and acted better. Maybe I would have given the leads certain scenes to have better chemistry. It lacked in areas which were crucial and turning points for the story. If you want it melodramatic, romantic, comedic, make us feel like it. Merely a touch and go doesn't do the trick.
I tried watching this thrice, the storyline was quite promising. I really liked the FL in the beginning, her character was strong and there was high scope of development. Believe me I absolutely love Gong Jun, but his character was so...meh? As a standalone story of the FL, maybe this would have turned out to be better. But the two leads together, probably not the on screen combination that is pleasing to the audience.
Honestly i think at first it was actually not normalized - Xiao Yi was visibly traumatized, shaking, and he even…
I agree with you on the way they showed the trauma. That is a good representation of what actually happens when you've been taken advantage of under the influence. But the fact that they actually made them end up together was horrible. That's in a way symbolizing that even if it was a very wrong thing to do, the perpetrator will eventually get the victim.
gave it 13 episodes before giving up..... does it get better?? its been really slow so far imo. i like the ML…
It doesn't get any better. This show has zero angst and there's no chemistry development between the leads ever. A few kisses but nothing special. Drop it sis, nothing here you're losing out on :)
Maybe I would have wanted the FL to die at the end. That's a good way to show the ML repenting and missing her forever. Death was an easy way out for him after everything he did to the FL.
People honestly need to stop normalising rape in the BL industry. It is not romantic at the least. 'A birthday present for myself'? This is absolutely wrecking irl. Not something to be encouraged to the mass.
Do you guys know any other series which has good gradual chemistry, and nice storyline progression? I've been binging this drama on a loop now y'all know it's that good. I absolutely love Tian's character development and how he grew to like the villlagers and the simple life there. The country side setting with Phupha in a uniform is all brownie points!
