Both dramas have a trope of the fl lead resisiting against the male centric old china regimen and customs. They potray with the story of the various female characters in the drama, how the women of the times were suppressed and abused by their family time and again. Whether its their own family or later the husband /children
In both dramas the fl breaks out of an unpleasant prior relationship. Gets to meet the ml who helps the fl along the way without interferring with her aspirations and plans. Both of them respect and acknowledge the fl's talents.
Both fl open business along with her other two female friends. One of which friend often retracks back to her miserable days only being enlightened, and saved by the fl again and again.
I am still midway into the dream of splendor drama so i cannot say much about ending etc but since flourished peony as well is yet to release the s2 i will consider my experience in both half.
Paner with her exquisite teamaking, and mudan like her name with her expert peony growing skills makes a name for herself in their respective industries, dealing with their rival businessmen, and protecting against their exes as well as helping their friends find their life back.
Differences:
In FP the fl is already married and is not much of a help to ml in starting and needs a favour from him at start.
IN ADOS flPaner is quite resuourceful and much more confident from starting, maybe being a daughter of a guilty officials, and facing struggles from childhood as a music performer taught her many skills. But Mudan from FP is a loved daughter of her family and spent most time as a housewife so did have much more struggle in adapting to circumstances and wasn't as efficient and strong. But her growth is commendable.
Paner helps the ml from starting coz ml was in a pickle running from enemies and forms a bond early on and their romance blooms soon enough with the tensions there from the first scene.
In FP the romance and tension was much more softer with the ml taking a really long time to admit his feeling, however we get to enjoy the pure friendship between the leads and the fun late night talk with snacks. Which was lovely to behold, for always the path to falling in love has been more fun that afterwards.
