The best thing about their romance is the developement of their relationship in their every interaction, we just dont dare to skip reading any detail or it feel like missing a huge thing in their story.. Even the comedic relief with the other characters.. its regrettable to miss out in drama but its still visual feast as well.. Xu Kai's meany face and Pang's happy go lucky appearance just unbelievebely spot on lol.. the other ZGDX too, even Dabing is perfected its role.. And the drama sensible enough to bring the parents, in novel the parent seem to be online parent that never appear in rl lol.. Though why they make LSC's mom to be seem evil mother-in-law in drama.. in novel she is so hilarious when know her son dating TY she just want to immediately married them off even want to bribe the civil bureu (because TY still not in marriagable age) 😂.. Btw did you read Gu Man's You are My Glory as well? The currently airing drama just heal some of my disappointment in FIYS because the drama really bring out the novel to the screen.. from visual, feels, and accuracy in plot as in the novel.. I just want to cry to watch that drama because its
so beautifully adapted

Its okay.. i understand where you coming from.. Honestly i dont fully dislike the drama, and still many that i love.. Have so much to say then its mean you are so invested in the drama, so i dont disregard the effort of production and people's love with this.. Im sorry too i know in this forum im being the few negative in the sea of positives xD.. i hope i dont offend people that enjoy the drama so much, at least not too badly 😅✌️ Hopefully picky reviewer like me not mean as the damper, but just to add another perspective, because I believe cdrama have potential to produce the best, and input from fans either praises or critism will taken as consideration to be better.. Actually its really fun to discuss, as i think we all care for the drama.. though there are some things we dont agree together, i learn many things as well so thank you fellow drama sisters 😘

You mean how all the team is dirty minded but Tong Yao is obvious? 🤣 We have to give Cheng Ge credit for all his hilarious answer as well everytime he got caught doing 'shady' with Smiling.. One of my fav is when Ai Jia messeges Cheng Ge that he saw ghost in ZGDX's base, or when TY is suspected as the one that realiased the vid of Lu Yue and her answer become a GIF meme, or when Lu Sicheng's son got eaten by Dabing and TY did live streaming afterwards.. And many more! They are just hilarious from the start, honestly its true love when you can tolerate someone that messed up your game , i played MOBA so i got that feeling OoO.. and in the world championship Smilling become LSC's support LOL.. Its all not included in drama

Haha yeah that indeed my visualization of TY.. Yeah honestly FIYS still have high review despite everything.. in other forum there is actors that trashed worse for their acting performance to the point the drama's rating got dragged down, even some veteran actors.. FIYS have many merits to cover up FL's acting that make the drama still lovable.. Honestly maybe i just have too much expectation from the start as well😅

Ireine Song?? that somehow.. matched Lol.. I was YY ing Xing Fei, Shen Yu, Sabrina Chen, Seven Tan.. but forgot Ireine Song indeed quite match as well, she is like little pepper lol will be so cute and fierce as TY

I dont watch the entertaintment gossips at all so my knowledge about some celebrities just from their works in dramas, so actually i dont have wide perspective in the casts.. just if their acting agree or not with me with in the current drama i watched.. So about my assessment in CX is completly just from her acting in FIYS, as i dont watched any of her other work yet.. So i just know that in this drama im not satisfied in her acting but its not mean i have problem with the actress personally.. in fact, for me acting quality in casting is a responsibility of drama crews, as the current chinese drama industry not lack talented actors at all.. So CX's failure in this drama honestly the responsibility of director etc, as im sure CX will be shine more in work where she can fully display her 100% without worry that its not good enough for her current capability yet or it just not suitable for her.. Im with you about dropping the dramas because the actors not suitable, in fact very often LoL.. for example i dropped the Le Coup De Foudre even after several try just because i feel like some actors not suitable for high school atmosphere and it just awwarkd and forced though i really like the novel so much and really have good impression for the actors from their different work.. So, guess people will have different opinion depend of their objective.. Often too that i ecountered a drama or film when i feel like the actor did very amazing job but some other people not agree with me

I agree about the other able to cover her lack of acting.. That's why the drama still acceptable and good all over.. it just step away from being super excellence.. I mean this drama have potential to be better than other esport dramas so far because this drama included rom com and better gaming script.. I mean Go Go Squid's original novel actually just so so for me because FL is a bit 2D shojou girl, ML is ur dominant cold guy, and gaming scenes not exciting at all in the novel, but when adapted to drama it just become such masterpiece with beautiful emotional undercurrent of ML, awwarkd but still very lovable FL, super beautiful side casts that you just dont want to miss any of their stories, and most importantly the esport competition atmosphere just intense and thrilling.. FIYS even have better original script as we have strong gamer and adorkable FL, excellence team captain ML that actually not perfect as he is sarcastic, playful, sometime childish person, more exciting gaming scenes with many funny snippets.. So i have expectation that FIYS come out better from other esport cdramas.. Please note that its not just because the actress's lack experience in fault but the drama producing team that wasted such good script for me

She is just spiritless and expressionless in drama, the actress's eyes just dont speak and facial expression off.. Thats why.. I guess in my mind Tong Yao is such lively girl with somehow adorkable persona.. Even if the drama doesn't make her super expressive but it will be good enough just to be able to potray her 4D soul perfectly.. Guess that my conjecture, you can ignore this if you dont agree as this is maybe my personal subjective view

I wonder too if I watched without expectation then maybe i can enjoy it more like some other? Well if what you said is true that Tong Yao chara is changed intentionally then i cant really view the drama as the adaptation of original work because Tong Yao's character potrayal and depth is the high light that make me so in love with the story.. Maybe that my biggest discontent of the drama, the rest is, as the first 20 eps still follow the original story line, and the other casts is really awesome, so drama still quite nice to wacth.. maybe because i love esport so much i cant bear to discard any esport drama from my collection lol

Anyone want to cry with because how good this is? Its like we wait for more than two years and it just worth it!! As expected of Master Turtle's work always beautifully adapted this is literally how imagined when I read the novel and the scenes come alive so beautifully.. Btw the actors really did super good job, Diralba is really the perfect Qiao Jing Jing ahh.. the visual, the expression, the fashion just spot on!! and Yang Yang the perfect Yu Tu, his emotional potrayal just poignant!! Now i feel like my life is just waiting for the next eps to come out, waiting.. waiting .. an more waiting 😭😭😭

This is actually quite fun to ponder.. Actually when reading the novel its not like either Tong Yao or Lu Sicheng unwilling to go public, but they agree to hide it at first because there many unhealthy fans that make ruckus that their idol cannot be in relationship. But after they have some heart to heart talk they realized that they misunderstand each other, they hide their realtionship not because they were afraid of themeselves , but just because want to protect each other. So both of them actually not unwilling to go public, they just considerating each other feeling.. The scenes of their talk in drama when after the press conference with YQCB and Tong Yao and Lu sicheng whisper talk in the bus

In the novel Tong yao is 19 and Lu yue is the same age as her.. Lu si Cheng is 4-5 years older than her so maybe around 24.. Actually 'you are so young' and 'like kindergartener' 'shorty' troupe is not make much sense in drama as Tong Yao's age is changed to a university graduate and she is 1.5 height in novel but actress definetely at least 1.6

I love Tong Yao as she represented my inner gaming desire too, but in drama Tong Nian in Go Go Squid actually more lovable , maybe because acting quality.. but indeed if well executed Tong Yao will be much more powerful FL than Tong Nian, and FIYS have better esport script too!! But in the end overall Go Go Squid still better drama in character potrayal, chemistry, and plot line execution..

Its because many scenes in the original work not included in the drama so the story feel rushed and clipped.. the novel give detailed scenes how they step by step, with many difficulties finally reach the championship

I rec to read fully without skip some parts, because i think the best part of Tong Yao and Lu Sicheng's relationship is its not in super fanfare but in their daily interaction.. And not just romance the novel really depicted good atmosphere of friendship, career growth, friendly competitiveness, idol-fans relationship.. and all the chapters always so funny and light hearted, and heart warming and quite in depth too.. so it just addicting to read, I already reread so many time without getting bored lol
