Ning Yuan Zhou and Ren Ruyi are alive and have children. As the kid said to Chu Yue at the final episode. Ning Shi San is son of NYZ and RRY. That's what I got.

Agree with your review. I'm just thinking, it's Chu Yue instead of Yang Ying who met the kid in ep 40 because Chu Yue has a hope that Yu Shi San is still alive. So she goes wandering to look for him. As I remember she couldn't find Yu Shi San's body. Yu Shi San, Ning Yuan Zhou and Ren Ruyi were all died on explosions, the bodies were not found. There are big possibilities all of them are still alive.
