This show was absolutely infuriating to me that she doesn't learn the truth about who he is until like the very end of episode 29. At that point I stopped even caring...

They seemed to off-screen and considered truly married in the extra and it also confirms the ending wasn't a dream but real, at least in my interpretation. At first I thought maybe this was an open ending and it might have been a dream or illusion or something but the extra seemed to confirm it was real, at least to me. It also confirmed that eventually everyone they lost will return, even though we didn't see it, that to me made this one of the extremely rare truly happy endings with almost all questions answered that you don't typically see in Xianxia dramas. I more or less expected the ending where one sacrifices the other waits for a long time then they get reunited. However while it went that way, this is the only one so far that I actually felt it was a truly satisfying ending. I appreciated this drama in so many ways, they rarely had misunderstanding and their love remained unbreakable once they got together. This type of I am not sure I have ever seen in a Xianxia before. It's also the only drama I have ever watched while it is airing without stopping once because I never got bored of it.

This is a sequal. Not sure why its missing from the pages but this is the sequal to that one, with their son, Jin, whose name was mentioned at the very end of the last film. Also here in the "Also known as" it says "海大鱼2", "海大鱼" is the native title of the other film. This is a direct sequel.
