Title The Husband
The reviews are incorrect in some aspects. E.g DrKo kept ML in the operating room while his daughter was at risk…
I also agree to stop here.
Different viewers have different perception when watching the drama. To me, Taeju has already known the illegal stem cell is used long before his daughter has the incident. The evidence is there is one scene where Tarju and Seyun both sat on the sofa, and Taeju couldn’t tell Seyun anything about illegal stem cell he just found out. His daughter waited for him at that night and Taeju picked her up and hug her.

Please, don’t need to rely me. Thanks:)

Agree there is no way Taeju can exit the VIP surgery in the middle to help his daughter.
But WAHT IF Taeju quit the VIP project earlier, he wouldn’t need to perform this VIP surgery and he at least could be by his daughter’s side during the incident.
I just try to imagine the regret and inner conflict that Taeju might have when he learnt about his daughter’s death.

In reality, a surgeon is not supposed to perform surgery on his close family member, I think, at least this is the code of conduct in US.
This plot and scene are (I think) to add more regret to Taeju’s role - what if he has exit the VIP project earlier as he wanted, etc.

It was indeed a VIP operation that Taeju was performing while his daughter was in danger in another operating room. If you watch Episode 10, it becomes clear that his father-in-law is overseeing the VIP surgery that Taeju is performing. When a nurse informs him about Taeju’s daughter’s emergency, he deliberately decides not to tell Taeju immediately.

Although this decision ultimately leads to Taeju’s lifelong regret and Seyun’s resentment toward him, I don’t think there was much of a choice under the circumstances.

This is a thoughtful fan analysis of The Husband, arguing that the drama portrays love in a subtle, realistic way rather than through conventional romance. The review says, as Namkoong Min once shared, ‘some romantic scenes were intentionally removed so the story could stay true to the spirit of a thriller.’

In other words, this drama doesn’t show us their love through grand romantic scenes. Instead, it lets viewers feel their love through the way TaeJu and Seyun act, the choices they make, and the way they treat each other.

This review analyzes the dialogue and key script lines from the most important scenes between Taeju and Dongchan, as well as Taeju and Seyun. It offers remarkable insight / analysis into the characters and their relationships.

Title The Husband Spoiler
Episode 7 seems to:

1. reveal a deeper conspiracy within the hospital that will likely unfold in later episodes;

2. confirm that the criminal couple are truly psychopaths and cold-blooded murderers; and

3. show that Taeju and Seyun still deeply care for and love each other. I think that after seeing Taeju risk his life to rescue her, Seyun finally decides to trust him again.

I sincerely hope Taeju and Seyun, this unfortunate couple, can find their way back to happiness. It’s never worth sacrificing the people we love or allowing ourselves to be consumed by the negativity and selfishness of those around us.
