Entertaining but not captivating
Very nice casting, from the leads to the supporting cast. Great chemistry, well written lead characters and support roles too. Very nice costumes and make up. Enjoyed most of it, it's a funny drama with a nice romance. However nothing remarkable in the script to make this drama topnotch. It's not boring but not so captivating either. There's something missing. That thing that makes you want to see the next episode right now and makes you feel like tomorrow is in a longtime. I can't tell if it's in the pace of the drama or in how the story unfolds. Nonetheless, it was a refreshing transmigration drama! ^-^Was this review helpful to you?
A heartwarming romance with a perfect Sunshine FL x Grumpy ML
This drama was amazing! The cinematography, whether we are in the real world or in the game was amazing. I loved the characters, their personalities, their development and growth. The actors did an incredible job and had a beautiful chemistry. I love how their love came to be, how they got together, how they overcame their struggles, how they support and root for each other, how they communicate. Their relationship is just so sweet and fantastic.I love the boldness of the female lead, it was a refreshing change from what we usually see. I also appreciated how, even when he was taken aback, the male lead never tried to constrain that side of her. We can tell they both can fully be themselves with one another and respect each other.
Another great point is the nice supporting characters, from the leads friends to their work collegues. Nobody toxic or weird. I liked how they showed their group dynamics with the leads, it helped us be more attached to them and the universe of the drama too.
I honestly didn't expect much when I started the show and I'm so glad I got to enjoy the journey this drama was. I was excited to see a new episode everyday, and it goes by so fast. From beginning to end, everything is just good. The pace is not slow nor rush, there's no boring episodes and we don't have any loose end.
Big bonus: we are served with plenty lovey-dovey scenes. 🥰

Top-tier must-see drama!
The acting, the story, the freaking cinematography! Everyting is just amazing! No boring episode, you're just begging for more once one is over. The chemistry between the leads is off the roof, the other characters around them, especially around the female lead are so attaching. All that gets you into the drama even more. The plot is well set, the pace is just perfect, neither too fast nor too slow. We get to see how they fall for each other and create their strong bound, it's not just "a love at first sight so I ride or die for you". We see how down bad they are for the other, how they care and respect one another. All that well-balanced with the political & war issues they have to face.This drama was long awaited and it's living up to its expectation. Definitely a must watch.

The greatest ennemis to lovers!
I was stunned from beginning to end, loved every minute, every plot twist, the relationship between the leads and how it evolved. The mutual respect, wether it was when they were ennemis to when they became lovers. It just keeps you on the edge all along, there's no boring episode. Chen Zhe Yuan & Li Qin did a fantastic job in portraying their characters and have a great chemistry. I'll definitely recommand to watch this drama. ^^Was this review helpful to you?
A communicative couple! A successful second chance in life!
What a beautiful surprise! I did not know what to expect from this show but I was beautifully blown away. It's a fantastic show about personal growth, accountability and second chance. The leading couple is awesome! They are really there for each other, very open to each other. Not once did they let a misunderstanding get in their way. They chose trust and respect to lead their relationship and did very well. We do not have any stupid break up, useless fight or whatever of the kind. They are young yet somehow mature because of their respective life's situation. Their love is beautiful to witness. We have a strong female lead, career driven, who found a man who's not afraid of that side of her, but instead supports her wholly. She shows how surrounding yourself with the right people matters. The pace is very nice, we do not have any boring episode. We get to learn about support characters too, there are not just there to support the leads, they also have their own development. It's hard to predict where the story goes and how it will end so it makes it more enjoyable. And we have a happy ending! ^__^Was this review helpful to you?
Fun fluffy romcom with some retro vibes
Looking for a funny fluffy romcom with some retro vibes and a nice chemistry between the leads ? This is it!The episode are not so long so you quite don't see time passes by. The leads are endearing, not too mature but not too childish either, I felt like it was well balanced. We got plenty cute accessories reminding us of the 90s, lol. And I found the plot quite fun. It's really mainly comedy. And the ending is also satisfying. I was scared because I got trauma from transmigration dramas but this one did not disappoint. The only reason why I don't give it a 10 is the second leads. The friend of the leads, that are set to be a couple too, are boring. Their characters don't bring anything to the story. They feel useless and have no chemistry. Not having them would have change nothing to the story, unfortunaltely, they're not impadtful whatsoever. And their love story is really so-so...

Could have been better
Honestly, I have big mixed feelings about it. It was nice but that's about it. It feels like the plot got lost along the way, a lot of nonsensical stuff happened for her to be able to do what she did and end the way she did. Very cliché but enjoyable
Nice to watch, funny, fluffy romcom cliché to perfection which gives old dramas vibes. But despite the fact that I like the actors, it still lacks a certain pep to get you fully into it. I'll say maybe because the show was too predictable, still enjoyable nonetheless. I enjoyed the characters dynamics and how each remained true to their personality till the end. Prepare your tissues type of melodrama #C-Trauma for the win!
Very good! It makes you addicted real quick and keep up a nice pace. It could have been less episodes, we wasted a lot of time because of intentional miscommunication. It was really interesting how they tackle on war, the psychological issues it brings and didn't give us any weird miracle but rather kept it more real.Chen Ze Yuan was phenomenal in his role! I've never seen him like this, I discovered a new aspect of his acting and loved it! And Liang Je did a good job too. They had a nice chemistry. The characters development was also nice. We had a great cast because we end up being attached to several supporting characters. Overall, if you like melodramas, just go for it.
I couldn't give it a 10 because even though some aspects are quite realistic which makes the drama even more enjoyable, some others are just... a bit too biased and cliché. When the subject is military, every country always paint themselves as the savior which makes them neglects a lot of other aspects. Nothing wrong with it, it's a drama and it definitely doesn't make the show less significant. But some dialogues did come off as weird, out of place. You'll wonder, who says such thing or who acts like that. They went overboard with the melodrama and missed making a masterpiece.

Too predictable
The main that saved this drama is the lead actors.The characters are too immature, the story turns nonsensical too oftenly and the ending was quite disappointing for me. The other couples are not particulary endearing either. The main plot twist is who ended up being the real villain and why they turned that way. Besides that, everything is too predictable and there are too many useless misunderstanding, several times it just makes the show draggy...

Romcom which does its job right!
Good romance: check! Comedy: double check! We have a sweet romance that develops in the most funny way. We also tackle some serious issues but it's well done. All the characters are endearing and funny too so we just get into the all universe of the drama easily and it makes the drama even more enjoyable. Loved the actors acting, I've seen them in more serious roles and I'm glad they can pull the comedy genre this well. If you're looking for a romcom that's not too serious and will make you laugh, this is the one.Was this review helpful to you?
A perfect Criminal Investigation x Romance drama
It was such a surprise! My first time seeing an historical of the genre and loved it! I really appreciated how it was executed, how it mainly remained a thriller and the leads stayed focused on their goals til the end. I didn't find any episode boring at all, I enjoyed how we embark on the criminal cases with the leads and get to wonder who did what, why and how. I didn't find any flaw or weird point in all the cases. Really enjoyed the thriller parts. The romance was well introduced and very sweet, we don't have any weird break up because of some misunderstanding. Loved the boldness of the female lead and how the male lead respected her right away and got her back from the start. It makes their bond and their romance even more endearing. They didn't try to change the other but wholeheartedly embraced each other's quirkiness. There are so many characters we end up getting attached to. There is as many languages as they are people in the world
Loved it ! Very easy to binge ! A really nice drama with a lovely romance. It feels like I watched the romance of two avoidant people who always put the others first falling for each other and their journey of not letting that trait get in the way of them finding love. It was beautifully told.Amazing acting from the leads. Kudos to Go Youn Jung for the versatility of her role. Kudos to Kim Seon Ho too, it's not evident to play someone who speaks several languages but he did very well. He really looked like a polyglot, lol. He has amazing facial expressions, we could tell so much about how he felt just by looking at his face. Nice chemistry between the leads.
I like the development of the scenario a lot, you can't tell what will happen in the next episode nor how the drama will end. There's so many things we just don't see coming, it makes the drama even more enjoyable. It was cool. the one point where it failed for me is how no one thinks about using an online translator even if it's not the most accurate things when there's no interpertror. The character just rather speak their language and not be understood by the person they're talking to even when they're saying something important. It doesn't make sense. Anyway, it's not a focal point in the drama, we can easily tell it's to create misunderstandings that will unfold later in the story and you can still enjoy the drama despite that.
They traveled a lot so we have amazing sceneries, that was cool. The dialogues aregreat, a lot of nice lines. And we have some nice character development, the characters still remain true to themselves till the end, loved that too.
I really liked this drama, I was waiting for it since I heard about it because I love the Hong sisters as writers, and I've not been disappointed. It's just missing that little je ne sais quoi for me, that thing that makes you addicted, hence why I didn't give it a 10.
