I’ve seen the 1st 6 eps, female is smartish, but far more naive than our Niaonaio. The sister is already sketchy & I they start off in the vod realm, which ehhhh, is the least interesting arch for me, but it’s got Chong Yi, so I’m in for the long haul.

So far I’m still watching, but I’m very torn if I will keep up with this one. I like our 4 rookies, the chief and Li Da Wei’s master, but most of the cases and family’s that we’ve seen vary from irrational to rage-inducingly unreasonable. Granted for the most part being American, I am of the opinion of acab but at this point I’m wondering why most of the police haven’t quit yet. I’m really enjoy both Bai Lu & Zhang Rou Yun which is the only reason, I’m still watching, I just hope the people involved in the cases get less infuriating & more rational.

Nah…. She was stupid from the get go…. The medicine switch was unforgivable, I don’t care if she knew for a fact that the meds were he said they were, if she picked that bottle up sealed from the pharmacy unless you know for a fact the individual’s medical history & any current conditions or meds they may be taking, slipping someone medication can literally kill them. From an “ex” who clearly has issues, that alone was a no-brainer even in drama world.
So after ep 14, I officially just want to smack Mi Gu, 2nd fl... because she has crossed the line beyond the obvious…
Where is this chick’s brain? It’s is blatantly obvious he isn’t into her, is seriously hung up on her best friend , using her for access to her best friend (who is clearly uncomfortable with the whole thing) & now she’s lying to the cops for a random dude she met like like 4 or 5 times & half of those were engineered by her? I hate the “love/obsession at first sight” trope in general but this is worse than usual. I’m as shallow as the next person, but really while he’s good looking, he’s not that damn good looking & he is obviously hung up on the main fl... does Mi Gu have any self-respect?!? {{{smh}}}

Oh my, it is that bad, and I really wanted to watch it as i like the ML. But the whole storyline sounds boring…
The fl isn’t that bad yet, incredibly passive but that is the storyline so I can work with it, but all the other female characters & at least one male character, not the ml yet, are idiots though. The desperation & lack of self respect is driving me crazy though. 2nd fl leads generally are, but so far other than 2 roomates of the fl, & the fl herself to a certain extent every woman in the show is blatantly desperate to hook up with ml & are portrayed as “normal” none of the characters act like this is anything abnormal either. Normally the 2nd & 3rd fls are cannon fodder & shamelessly chase after the ml & all the other characters recognize this, but in this drama it’s treated as perfectly normal - the worldview is just askew. I also like Hu Yitian so I may come back when it’s completed & ff through most of it, it’s a shame but I just cannot keep watching at this point.
Ughhhh I might have to drop this one.... I watched both the 2019 version, as well as Huckleberry friends, which I both really enjoyed, but in this drama the secondary characters are too infuriatingly over the top. Their behavior crosses the line between intense one way crushes to borderline obsession & outright stalking. I get the drama/conflicts for drama sake, but seriously if I knew almost any of these people irl, I’d cross the street to avoid them & possibly call the police & a psych hospital for a few of them.
Watching this, at times, makes me want to throw my remote through the screen, the leads & 2nd male lead aren't bad, even the fl’s bf is fine until she starts obsessing about her love life, but I seriously want to know what the writers are thinking? I legit feel bad for the actors/actresses who have to read this dialogue. If the intent is to make me feel sympathetic for any of them, it’s an epic fail, I just want to send the lot of them to therapy & ask writers to stop normalizing this insane behavior.
I am aware of that there is broadcast date yet & can live with that for now ... but for the love god, why can’t we get a trailer? I’m not even asking for a subbed trailer, just a trailer...
