I just started this, but the premise sounds a lot like reply 1988, sort of. I really like dramas like this and I love that it’s not strictly a BL… having said that, it’s a shame that the school suggested that the mother and her child move away rather than dealing with the situation of kids bullying him because he’s mute. More places need to accept that people are different and not punished the differences, but instead celebrate them. Looking at you America, you really fucking suck right now.
Chen Ke 😭😭😭. He Jin really pissing me off he steady blaming people talking about they excluding him because…
Yeah He Jin was absolutely crazy sauce. No one excluded or bullied him. People reacted to his horrible treatment of Chun Ke. All of their so called exclusion and bullying was all in his head. Sadly, he probably won’t get the mental health care he desperately needs.
I find it interesting so many people are complaining about the FL and yet no one‘s complaining about how irritating the ML is because he 100% is too. They’re both irritating but that’s kind of the point.
His friend with the glasses annoyed the hell out of me. He actively tried to wreck the mains relationship from the jump. He felt super obsessive and controlling. Bleah. And then, in the last episode, we find out that he’s known that his friend has been in love with the artist for years and he’s still interferes because he’s a selfish controlling manipulative prick. Ugh
I thought this was a nice story. I went into it without any expectations, so it's not like I could be disappointed.…
I could not stand his best friend. If he harbored these feelings, he should’ve said something prior to that, and then he just moved in there, trying to get between his friend and the guy that his friend liked who clearly likes him back. That is super uncool.
And then his confrontation with Cheol was unhinged. Who cares how long you have liked him if his feelings aren’t the same. Your friend clearly likes Cheol and Cheol likes him back. You need to let your friend be happy.
He should’ve made his feelings clear sooner… I hate that trope where the longtime friend thinks that just…
He got even worse as the series went on, deliberately moved in there just to get between his friend and the guy his friend liked who clearly likes him back. That’s just gross behavior.
He should’ve made his feelings clear sooner… I hate that trope where the longtime friend thinks that just because they have had feelings for such a long time they’re entitled to a relationship with the object of their affection.
This was a lot deeper than I expected it to be. I really don’t care about their being no kisses. I don’t think that it was necessary for the script.
The aunt was an absolute horror and she treated that poor child terribly. Was it a cultural thing because he was adopted? I don’t know but she was terrible. Her continuing to blame him for something that was essentially her fault is completely heinous.
And Tae Hyeon’s longer haired friend is kind of a jerk…
I’m still watching so this might evolve as I continue.

On episode one and hope he gets less annoying later.
