1. Underrated2. He sure dies a lot (they should explain him what is life insurance) :)3. Nice romance & comedy4.…
I disagree about the main leads only looking good in modern clothing and hair. They both rocked their Joseon looks. ML actually looks younger with the longer hair and facial hair.
I love this drama... until the Roy character showed up. Lin An An's story line is still so annoying. I much prefer…
The Cindy character’s jealousy made me want to vomit. I am sick of that trope where the crazy b***h thinks she owns a man and has all rights to him just because she likes him. It is such a sexist view that women are conniving and manipulative like that on a regular basis...
Yeah, I am on episode two and already want to slap her.
Had they said THAT, it would make sense. But the cops did not, instead they asked why he did the acupuncture in the hospital rather than the oriental hospital. As though if he had a license he still would be in trouble for not dragging an emergency patient to the correct hospital, lol. THAT is what I found weird.
Yeah, I am on episode two and already want to slap her.
Also find it stupid that in a country where acupuncture is normally practiced, that ML was arrested for using acupuncture in an emergency situation, lol.
The whole cast is brilliant so much so I even like the fiancee with resting bitch face because of her I learnt…
So if love is not important, she doesn’t need to demand it from him then ?. That is what irritated me about her. I get that it is an arranged marriage, her demanding he love her too when he hardly knows her is a little much. Love can come in time with such a situation. I feel if she is going to make sure he stays in the arrangement, maybe she should show him some respect towards his feelings rather than demanding he feel something he does not yet feel.
I find it interesting that you speak of how all marriages were arranged marriages in the past and no one ever married for love. While this may be true, we still have so many stories of love and lovers that go back well into the past. So people still believed even then that there could be such love in a relationship.
Am on episode 22 & was waiting for the subs to be completed on Viki. I went ahead and read some recaps for later episodes and have decided to just drop the whole show. Too much manipulation from nasty wenches to stretch out the plot. By episode 34 it does not look like the main couple are even together yet. So frustrating and ridiculous. The introduction of the stupid love rival for Zhao Erwen’s affections made zero sense and was just a cheap ploy to draw out the story more...but all it does is waste time and up the makjang angst factor.
I am only on episode 3, but already am more than fed up with the ML. And now, after reading so many comments that say the misunderstanding lasts for almost the whole series, I am reluctant to continue. Making such a stupid, easily resolved misunderstanding last for so many episodes just to drive the story along is crappy, lazy writing. The entire premise for why he is so enraged at her is ridiculous as well. Even if she was the nasty, gold-digging woman who callously broke things off with his friend, that does not change the fact that his friend CHOSE to drive drunk and the ML CHOSE to recklessly chase him. It is an unfortunate series of events but honestly not one that even the nasty step-sister needs held accountable for. She needs held accountable for her actions, yes...but those accidents are in no way her fault, and certainly not the fault of the FL.
This was good, just little things bothered me though. Like what was up with the main females hair. And why did…
Actually the touch thing was very consistent. The kiss to get the ghost to leave her body was just him wanting to kiss her. All he really needed to do was touch her to make ghosts go away, or her touch him. This was demonstrated repeatedly throughout the show.
Totally agree, and I didn't even watch the original. Jang Dong Gun is perfect for this character, and while I'd…
Park Hyung Sik is actually different, in my opinion, than he is in other roles he has done like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and Hwarang. His facial expressions are totally different and it almost looks like he holds his mouth differently. I think it was intentional to portray the character. Whatever he did, it is amazing and I loved his portrayal. Have not seen the American version, though.

I forgot to mention, I have seen the first two episodes of the show and I fail to see this ‘nothing but man hate’ you seem to see. I mean the show is a ridiculous comedy with caricatures of stereotypes in it. It is meant to be funny and not deep. I really think you are projecting your own issues onto this lighthearted show.
Ummmm South Korea is an incredibly sexist country, and since the Me Too movement has even spread there, there…
I am an American woman and I can assure you we are not angry all the time. Feminism is not about hating men, not real feminism anyway...it is about being afforded the same rights and privileges as men. Anyway, I think I will cease this conversation with you as I find you incredibly offensive. And no...I am not angry.
trying to watch ep 1 without luck, i wondering of couple things:1. why there is so much hate toword men? ?? i…
Ummmm South Korea is an incredibly sexist country, and since the Me Too movement has even spread there, there is a lot of backlash over how women have been and are treated there. It is not man hate....just women fed up with being treated like shit for so long.
