I hate how they try to compare this "historically accurate" drama with Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austin was ahead…
Pride and prejudice is such a delightful book. I can never have enough of it. Chai An is smart and helpful, yet somehow immature. Mr Darcy dismounted from his high horse for love. Of course, the latter wins.
It has been building up for a while. He saw kindness in her when he met her. He saw her dancing and was mesmerized.…
Usually, slow burns have many work related or friendly interactions/banters between the leads. On the contrary, here, there were just a few scenes of them. That is why, it feels slightly abrupt. I think the ML controlled his expressions to not make it obvious.
I loved the him not beating around the bush and denying his feelings....I mean you could see he had a soft spot…
I was pleasantly surprised the way he actively confessed his feelings in that conversation with his brother. He seemed more confident after Captain Wu’s call. What is your opinion about that? Maybe, like ‘Oh! So it turned out that I had saved her.’ When FL went to Nanbin, the ML seemed slightly disappointed, or I misinterpreted his expressions. I assume there were certain details in that scene which escaped my attention.
i mean no offense with this question but how is this compared to Fireworks of My Heart? i really love fomh so…
I won’t compare them, but I can tell you how it stands apart from the rest. The drama, as of now, is focused more on firefighting and comradeship, and I especially enjoy the scenes of ML and his colleague who works as the team’s instructor. Some of the rescue missions feel real and personally, I think that the recent episodes were much more fun. ML and FL interactions are few but meaningful. There are some good speech style dialogues. Also, SML character is unique, at least for me. He appears a bit short tempered and playful first, but he is quite dedicated to his work and knows when to put aside his prejudices. Try out a few episodes and you can drop it if it doesn’t appeal to you.
Leads first interaction was pretty funny, I wonder how she will react when she finds out who she tipped lol....
Yes, his expression when he received that delivery fees..haha, while she hopped away happily. I hope we get more of such interesting interactions in the upcoming episodes. Also, the realization of who she tipped is really going to render her speechless..xD
I just watched three episodes and I love many characters. Ding’s parents were unconvinced when MJ was unemployed but now that she is working hard, they still have an issue. Talk about uselessness. Of course, this family of three is excluded from my ‘many characters’ list.
I was wondering about that closing scene. What it was suppose to mean.
Those short snippets, that you speak of, may seem trivial as ordinary moments do, yet are, undeniably, a treat to the viewers especially to analyzers. Many a time they provide an intriguing insight into why characters do what they do and implicitly validate their actions. In the recent episode, DJX covers her up with the coat and as a witness to this scene, the old man smiles and then turns to the other side. There is a high chance that he actually chose to pretend that he cannot hear after recognizing their care for each other. Just a guest role, but his character has left a mark in their lives and consequently the drama slightly tilts towards reality. As, we may have, at some point in our lives, had an interesting interaction with a random stranger. I have read the novel and yes, all of them are doing a great job.
"Pursue rather than wait" thsts my motto. Lol. Sure is consistent with her character. The lead actress is supreme…
The only bad thing about having several episodes a week is that time does not always permit. This feeling is similar to your presence in an all-you-can-eat restaurant, but unfortunately, you are not hungry.
