This series gave me diabetes.

I think his motive stems from feeling betrayed by his lover ,who promised not to turn him into a nour, and from being almost killed by another nour (thus making him think nours ultimately are just predators who either kill you or turn you).
As for the unique powers, I think it’s something that was formed while he was almost being consumed by fire seconds before the nour transformation took place.
Just my thought thoug.
