The dying king's final wish was that Lee In would find out who poisoned him and punish them. If Lee In is still…
Honourable man? Do you think he doesn't know his mother, and court lady Dong had a hand in his brother's death? And are you suggesting he sentence his mother to death for high treason, just to be an honorable man? And for what? For a brother who betrayed, doubted, deceived, and even tried to kill him?
Whether he promised himself or not does not matter. He ascended the throne to stabilize the country, and if he doesn't want the country he got blood on his hands to protect, to be in crisis once more. Then, naming Munseong as his successor is definitely not the answer.
A king shouldn't be swayed by personal feelings in appointing his successor. A king has to name a successor that won't put the nation in crisis. And is Munseong the right person? I don't think so.
He didn't make any promise. Thus, he's not bound by any promise, cause he only swore of not harboring treachery, he didn't make any promise apart from that to Lee Soon. I'm still not convinced that he doesn't need an heir, every king does no matter how scary competent, and intelligent they might be.
It's not about yielding or not. He needs an heir to solidify his position, and by heir, I mean his child. Let's wait, and see how this drama is gonna play out. And I don't remember him promising the late king anything about making his son king.
Hell-bent? Yes, that may be the case for now, and that's because the king is yet to fall in love with a woman .. but do you think that will be the case once he falls in love? I don't think so, cause when their is love, their are desires. Don't you agree??
Yes, the king may have it in mind for the grand prince to succeed him, but once he has a son of his own, I don't think he'll still want Munseong as his successor .. because he knows his child will suffer once another royal ascends the throne .. cause his child will be seen as a a great threat. As we all know, theirs no kinship in the royal family.
I don’t think it’s a wrong move. I think she’s keeping him near her purposefully bc she wants to enact her…
I hope that's the case. I want to believe she didn't truly join hands with that dim-witted Myung Ha, but I agree with you about how the king is always ten steps ahead of his enemies. The king always seems to amaze me with his intelligence, and tactfulness. He has what it takes to protect his seat, and stabilise the nation, unlike Lee Soon, his incompetent brother.
I really dont get the logic of the king letting her die. Or her reasons for revenge. I guess it will get cleared…
Even I can't seem to get her logic for revenge, but I must admit each episode is becoming more interesting, especially episode 6, making the wait worth it. Don't you agree?
Mong Woo made a wrong move by joining hands with someone as brainless as Myung Ha. And What? She thinks the king wouldn't have anticipated that move from her? No. The king virtually knows about every scheme she has up her sleeves. And I can't believe she fainted on her very first day of becoming gidaeryeong. And what? She said she's more than ready to take revenge? I don't think so, she's overestimating herself.. Can't wait for more enchanting episodes of CTK!!!!
You are right, he's too intelligent to not know. And in episode 7 preview, he said to himself that now that she's return, he'll protect her no matter what. Thus, I'm convinced he knows.Furthermore, all hee soo schemes are within his control, cause what she said about Munseong wanting to learn baduk, Lee In must have known it's all for her grand plan of revenge . And to think she saw her discussing in secret with Myungha, he must have guessed it was for them to join hands to take him down, but he turned a blind eye, yet again. Honestly, even I can't seem to fathom what's on the king's mind....
I don’t remember that word? What’s its significance?
You have survived, Yet you are no better than the dead. It's such a scary word with a dreadful meaning. Anyone would be frightened upon hearing such word. Don't you agree?
Yes, I agree. He knows how to instill fear with his words. Episode 5 tells me, it's going to be tougher, and harder than Mong Woo had expected it to be. Furthermore, Lee In is a cruel and formidable king, even his glare is scary.
Wow. Saengbulyeosa? I got goosebumps upon hearing that word. Can't wait for another captivating episode of this drama. Also, I'm looking forward to how Hee Soo is going to answer Jin-han.
I agree. He should've kicked Hyun Bo to the curb. Especially knowing that the Minister Of War lied about the attestions…
Indeed. But I think he must have had his reasons for doing so. Besides, judging from the charges against Mong Woo, those were enough for a death sentence. Seeing that he did not order their deaths, he must have wanted to save her. Hong Jang dying on the way totally rendered any good intentions Jin-han might have had useless. Let's see how things will play out in this weekend episodes!!!
