The king was devastated when he learnt about Mong Woo's death, he just tried not to show it to people to maintain his image of a strong king. It was only Sang Hwa that knew about his pain, and sufferings. With this knowledge, Hee Soo's revenge is baseless.

Furthermore, what's with that one eye subordinate of Hee Soo? Why is he so bent on killing the king when he's yet to kill the real villain that caused the death of Hong Jang?

I love how the king rushed out of his chamber, leaving court lady Dong there. What I love more about episode 8 is that he disregarded etiquette, and didn't bother to think about how his decision to leave the chamber in search of Mong Woo may backfire. The king really has my respect for that cause it's rare to find someone you are drawn to, and the one you are willing to risk it all for. The last last 5 minutes of episode 8 has me on my toes, and words can't express my joy knowing that two episodes will be released in less than 24 hours. Waiting for another weekend for those two episodes would have been toture. I don't know about others but for me, episode 8 is 10/10 🌟, and this drama also deserves a 10/10 rating.

I love how the romance is playing out in this drama, it's very unique ... but what I love more is the answer the king gave when Sang Hwa asked him this question; What if he habours treacherous intentions? but he said, that's all the more reason to protect him. I never expected the King would give such an answer. It seems Lee In plans on going all out to protect his Mong Woo, at least that's the vibe I'm getting! Whether it's a tragic love story, happy ending, or sad ending? I plan on watching till the very last episode cause CTK always makes my day..
