As for whether they were colleagues or not, the answer is obvious? What colleagues kisses each other? I think their kiss scene was meant to answer that question.

I loved XFF/JL's character. To be honest, she's the character I loved the most in The Double, Xiao Heng is the my second favorite. It's the first time I've watched WJY in a revenge drama, she slayed her role. As for WXY, for some reasons, I didn't like his character in SOKP, but in TD? I loved his character!

In my opinion, the ending is a sad one. Why? The answer is obvious, Shen Zhi Heng practically dissipated, or should I say he disappeared. It wasn't just anyone who died, but it's the ML. This drama could have been one of the best, but the director twisted the ending. Some called it an open ending, but I call it a sad ending. As for the romance, it had some, but I'd say the romance was 10-15 percent, it wasn't the main focus of the show. About the novel, that I can't answer just yet, but I plan on reading the novel so I can see our leads have a happy ending. Thanks for liking my review by the way!
