You're right, there are dramas that has "cliches" but are still interesting. "Cliches" are not what ruins a drama, in my opinion, I think the plot, acting, and chemistry is what defines a drama. If a drama doesn't have one of those three, the show will only end up becoming an average one.

Same here, one of my favorites drama also has low ratings on MDL, ratings of 7.7. "Melancholia", I really loved that drama, even if it appears to be underrated, it's a soothing drama. That's why I want to give DOFFT a chance, maybe it might not be what it seems.

About the impossible heir, it has one of the lowest ratings among kdramas on MDL. But I think its ratings hasn't fall to 6.9 yet, and if I remember correctly, I think that's the ratings of "now we're breaking up".
