Do you remember when JSR father was talking about how he didn't remarry after their mother died, lest they feel mistreated? I also wasn't sure they had the same mother before, but confirmed it in episode 28. Consort Li doesn't only looks older than the emperor, she's older than him, that's for sure.

I was referring to the emperor, he's the one who told XH not to get his emotions involved. The emperor mind is not easy to decipher? Yes, he's not easy to read, but I don't think he wants to get rid of consort Li, if he wanted to, why didn't he do so years ago? He didn't just spare her, he even took her as his consort.
