I've read quite a number of Thailand's dramas synopsis that're about violence against women, most Thailand dramas before 2020 are mostly about violence against women, which is very infuriating. it's not as if we are living in ancient times, so, why are Thailand screenwriters still writing as if they're living in ancient times? Thailand screenwriters have indeed improve compared to years before 2020, but they are still Thai screenwriters that are writing archaic stories. Thailand dramas plot 5/10 years back are mostly about ML having upper hand, why can't they just write something about women having the upper hand for once? Thailand dramas are mostly about the assailant falling in love with his victim.

"The Double", has more that meets the eye.
Fang Fei was not just betrayed, framed and killed by her husband "Shen Yu Rong", her father was framed for corruption, and her brother was killed by bandits. Killed by bandits? Of course that's not the work of some bandits, but the work of the eldest princess of Yan "Wanning". What a cruel, ruthless, and vicious woman. Fang Fei's family was annihilated just because Wanning wanted another person's husband all to herself. Shen Yu Rong also lent Wanning a hand by framing Fang Fei for adultery, he hit her with a shovel and buried her alive. She suffered such great injustice. It's a miracle, that strike didn't kill her, so, she was able to crawled out of her grave.
As fate would have it, she's was buried close to where Jiang Li resides "Qingcheng mountain's Zhennyu hall". Jiang Li was framed by her stepmother for attempting to kill her, so she was sent to "Qingcheng mountain's Zhennyu hall" to purify her mind. Purify? That's no place for purifying, I'd call it a punishment, what place meant for purifying beats a lady so? Jiang Li and her maid "Tong" was picking herbs and collecting firewoods when they saw Fang Fei by the river side, she's unconscious. They stayed with her till she woke up, as she regained her consciousness, Jiang Li tried to hold her, but she's frightened asking who she was, the trauma of what happened to her still lingered. Jiang Li and Tong went to pluck fruits for her, and as they found some and went to give her the fruits, they found her as she's about to drown herself in the river and commit suicide. Jiang Li and her maid managed to stop her in time, Jiang Li was able to dissuade her from killing herself. She told Fang Fei that she'd go back to the hall and bring her food.
However, as she and her maid returned to the hall, took some food, and was about to bring it to her under the pretense of gathering herbs, they're stopped by the hall's mistress. The mistress stooped them and said they don't have to go out to get any herbs that day, she also enforced a curfew. At night, when the curfew was enforced, Tong reminded her not to sneak out to deliver the food cause the last time she sneak out she's punished for it. So, Jiang Li appeased her maid by telling her she won't sneak out. But Jiang Li couldn't stopped thinking about Fang Fei, she promised to bring her food, and it's not just the food, she's worried about her. So, she tried to sneak out to bring food to Fang Fei, and as she's about to open the gate, she's caught by the mistress. Jiang Li was flogged several times by the mistress, she also ordered all the nuns to flogged her by taking turns, her body couldn't withstand such pain. Her maid took many beatings for her, but the pain was just too much for Jiang Li, her body couldn't withstand it.

Furthermore, Fang Fei didn't see Jiang Li, so, she sneaked inside the hall. And coincidentally, all the nuns, including the mistress, excluding Jiang Li and her maid left the hall that time. When Fang Fei saw Jiang Li, she had little life in her, she's bedridden. Jang Li told her her story of how she was framed and abandoned, and she gave Fang Fei a hairpin given to her by her mother, that verifies her identity as the second young lady of the Jiang family. Not long after, she forced herself to stand up and took a walk, as she's looking at the pear tree which she planted when she arrived at the hall, she fell and died. Xue Fang Fei convinced Tong not to break the news of the death of Jiang Li, she further convinced her to let her take up the identity of Jiang Li to seek justice for her and punish those who wronged her. Tong eventually agreed, but taking up her identity won't be that easy, how will she get pass all the nuns that knows what Jiang Li looks like? The mistress and the other nuns came back, and she entered Jiang Li's room, but she found that Jiang Li was dead. Fang Fei threatened the mistress not to reveal that Jiang Li is dead, but announce her as her instead, she didn't want to. But she later agreed when she told her that killing the prime minister's daughter is punishable by death, she had no choice but to announce and recognize Fang Fei as Jiang Li. All the nuns had to follow her orders. Will Fang Fei, now Jiang Li forgive the mistress and the nuns for killing Jiang Li? Of course not.
After much scheming, she found out that the mistress had a love affair with a man, a nun hall's mistress has a lover? How immoral!! Coincidentally, the ML "Xiao Heng" also known by his title as "Duke Xu" chased a criminal to the hall, and the now Jiang Li took that opportunity to expose the mistress's true colors. She's found sleeping with her lover in her room, so, she and the nuns were convicted for immorality, excluding Jiang Li and her maid of course.
After that, she's was welcomed back publicly to the Jiang family. As soon as they saw the hairpin, and Tong, they didn't doubt her identity. After all, Jiang Li was sent to Zhenyyu hall when she's 9, and no one visited her, so no one knows what she looks like, the hairpin is the only way of confirming her identity.
Hence, the journey of revenge on those who wronged, framed and harmed her and the real Jiang Li begins!!!

Back to your question about whether Xiao Heng "ML" knows about her identity or not. He suspected her identity from the get go, but later saw that she's a righteous lady that wants justice. The chemistry of Jiang Li and Xiao Heng is just electrifying!! He already guessed her identity, but didn't expose her cause he knows he's framed by her husband. He helped her, they helped each other to achieve their goals. I know you are not into long episodes drama, but try this one, you'll definitely love it.

Yes, so what if gong yoo has famous and successful shows, precisely "goblin"? Hye kyo also has very successful and famous shows, dramas that earned worldwide success and fame like; Descendants of the sun, encounter, the glory etc, especially these two, descendants of the sun and the glory. Song hye kyo and Joong ki are indeed one of best actors Korea has ever produce, they possess top tier acting skills. But I just couldn't get over their break up. They're such lovely couples to see, but was very disappointed upon reading their article about their sudden divorce. And was even more shocked and disappointed upon reading another article about hye kyo being oblivious to the fact that they've divorced. It made me wonder whether their relationship was based on trust or a spur of the moment. I eventually got my answer when joong ki married his British wife, I think he cherish his British wife more than hye kyo. Or maybe it could be that I'm overthinking it.

Episode 11 Qin scene was both unique and emotional. I almost cried watching Jiang Li play "Spring Fading into White Pear Blossoms."

Song hye kyo and Song joong ki's exploding chemistry in "descendants of the sun was like no other. The way they looked at each other then was just so affectionate. I loved every moment of that drama, it's virtually everything a drama's supposed to have. Noona romance, comedy, action, military, medical etc, it has literally everything. When I was watching"descendants of the sun", it brightened up my mood during those times I was watching it, and even when I completed it, whenever I think of that drama. I have this feeling of happiness whenever I remember it. So, when I heard those two great actors finally tied the knot, I was so happy for them. I even looked forward to another masterpiece drama starring the song couple as the main leads. However, I was disappointed when I heard of their break up.
Another drama of the song couple would have been more than wonderful, don't you agree? But they just had to break up overnight!!

It's now time for hye kyo to have another relationship. She's been single for quite some time since her divorce, I hope she finds a suitable partner, particularly a younger partner that understands and love her more than she does him.
Speaking of joong ki's drama, I've watched most of his dramas, and they're very interesting. He's a great actor, but even though his acting is that great, I can't help but criticize him for leaving such an elegant and wise woman as hye kyo. Maybe this saying was right after all, "love is blind."

Speaking of son ye jin, she's in talks over a drama, I think that drama is going to be her comeback after taking a break for more than a year, really wish to watch her new drama soon.

I agree, I bet he doesn't even know anything about being an instructor. He built an academy only for the money. It's obvious how ignorant they're to the pain instructors go through to teach and keep their students. Being oblivious is one thing, and being narcissistic is another.
