But I ended up giving it 7.0.

I agree with you on that, he proved he's not someone to mess with right from season 1. Do you remember the scene where he killed the eighth dan martial arts master who killed Teng Zijin? He didn't waver even when TZ son came, he only asked him to turn around. Furthermore, he didn't just kill him, he killed him in broad daylight light plus, he did so in public, not secretly. I think he inherited 60 percent kindness from his mother and 40 percent ruthlessness from his father. Besides, being just kind won't cut it, a righteous man has to be ruthless when enforcing the law.
I also quite agree with you with what you said about the emperor love for FX outweighing the love he has for his other sons. While his sons was busy saving themselves, except the first prince of course, only FX risked his life to protect the emperor. I also hope he becomes a grandmaster like his father and Wu Zhu.
