Personally, I find this drama really boring. I've watched 6 episodes already and it doesn't live up to all the hype. Yes, the CGI is good and you see it's a big budget drama. But I can't relate to any of the characters. The female lead seems too obsessed with the evil demon that she is supposed to kill. She says she wants to kill him, yet seems more worried about his wellbeing. And then she just snuggles up to him to sleep. Does it make any sense? Then we are constantly told and shown how the male lead has been bullied. The viewer is just forced to take pity on him. Although the story moves on, it's actually tedious. So far the male lead lacks the devilish charm one would expect from such a character. As for the actors, I haven't seen any of their previous works and have absolutely no bias against any of them. Up to now there hasn't been anythings really impressive in their acting. Hopefully, it will it better and more interesting.
Why does this come up again and again? Neither he nor his agency have commented on his relationship status. They issued a statement in autumn that the woman who accompanied him to recordings was not "a girlfriend" but an employee. That was it. They never said he was single or otherwise. As for shippers, they have "plenty" of evidence. But each "ship" says that every article of clothing he wears is a sure sign and he is telling us how much he loves their girl. It's just ridiculous. Just watch their dramas and shows. Support them if you like them, together or individually. Don't spread rumours and don't try to convince others that it's true. Personally, I'm of the opinion that who they date or love is none of my business. I'm interested in their work. Dylan himself is enough to keep me interested. He's charismatic, talented and so much fun to watch.
From my personal view, the final episode ending was meant to tie up with the first 2 episodes- human, especially…
I think they also tried to establish a link with "Never give up", a modern drama that the same team worked on. So we will see them in a different era. 😊
reading alot of reviews, sorry this drama is not a 10/10. I am trying to figure out the motivation behind this…
I, actually, feel the same about the story. It wasn't interesting for me and the characters didn't click with me. Everybody has the right to like or not to like the show. Watching dramas is entertainment, not a school assignment. If you enjoy it, watch it. If you don't, drop it. As for glowing reviews, most of them are from fans. Yes, they need to show their support, but they can also be just a bit more objective.
Aiya, wasn't gonna comment but now thatI spotted such an article. gotta say, drama version DongFang QingCang took…
The novel and the drama are very different. I read the book first and liked it. There's more adventure here. But I liked the drama much more. The characters have different aims here, which are less selfish. They are also better and more complex characters in terms of personality.
he doesnt even act like 'ancient' guy, perfectly behave like normal modern guy
It would have been less annoying to the audience if he had come from a modern novel. With the way he behaves, talks, toys with a mobile and even walks he is a totally fake ancient character.
It's a comedy. But while watching the first two episodes, I didn't smile once. The villain isn't fierce enough (not in action, but at least emotions and facial expressions). The female character is a bit annoying so far. Does she really need to raise her voice so often? And how is smart everyone? The guy reads books by quickly leafing through them and surely remembers all the stuff. The girl's shoe gets stuck and what does she do? Beg others for help for a record-breaking time in stead of just taking it off! She isn't qualified for a job, fails the interview, but of course, gets a job offer because she's the main lead. 🙄 The male lead is great at martial arts in her novel, but can he use magic as well? He literally flies up a high building and knocks two guys out by throwing some tiny button (?) at them! The comment isn't meant to offend anyone. The opinion is personal, like all the rest here.
