Okay, we can all agree that it’s a low budget production and it shows. The costumes could be better, the editing and special effects are poor, the make up and lighting are bad. But we should all appreciate the mls acting skills, they both nailed it for such a young actors, especially Xiao Bao one considering it’s his first role.

I believe he was just 17 in the novel,I don't remember that much but yeah he is powerless, all he has is brutal…
Huai En is 15 in the novel (20 in the drama thankfully) and actually he’s a “martial arts genius” as his father described him in this exact scene during their fight in the novel. It’s just not easy to overpower much more experienced and mature opponent like his father who was preparing for this rebellion for years. Also he’s himself very skilled, he was the one training Huai En so naturally it’s not easy to surpass your master.

Yes, Huaien's age wasn't mentioned in the drama and I assumed he was older than Xiaobao. So I was surprised that…
Lol same here. Based on the drama I thought Huai En was definitely older, then I found out his age in the novel and I was processing for a while that he’s actually a kiddo 😂 reading some parts of the novel I had a really hard time believing that. Truly insane.

I started reading the novel to understand the plot better and shit turned out to be much heavier than I expected 😂 they toned up the live action so much.

Also, not sure if I wanted to know Huai En’ age… They didn’t mention it in the drama so I’d like to believe they make him older here cause I’m kinda traumatized 😂
