Sorry it took me this long to answer: I have no excuse, just laziness....🤣🤣I have not seen 2125 but from…
Yes, I see where you're coming from and I agree with u. I'm also tired of the trope "childhood lovers", it's become really repetitive. Another trope that became so widespread as well is "they knew each other in their past lives". When it first appeared, it was really original and was even considered a plot twist showing hiw fresh the scenario was. But now, I hate this trope so much.

And you have a point; it's true we rarely see parents involved in their kid's life in japanese shows, as if they didn't even exist, and I think it's also a way of showing the reality of Japan's parenthood currently, which is unfortunate.

I'm also tired of "First Love always wins, First Live is the greatest love.." , cause let's be honest, the majority of people who have their 1st love is when they are still immature, and thus falling for a immature person as well. The majority that is.

I really want to see a whole new story, tropes, that haven't been thought of before, to take me by surprise and make me go «this is one of a kind».

About the trope you mentionned, where the main couple doesn't stay together at the end of the show, there is a kdrama that used it, and it's called: Twenty five Twenty one

Hope that helps 🙏🏽
