That is such a good thought. I did not think of that . He is giving her gifts to prove to himself that she doesn’t truly love him but is using him. He is keeping their relationship surface level. After the divorce he is going to realize he truly loves her and misses her.

I just caught up and WOW!! This Fang Lei is so manipulative. I don’t see how people compare Qiao Yan’s lies to his. He has been manipulating her from the very beginning. But the worst for me right now at least is what he did on her birthday. Yes he did not cheat on her, but going to that girls apartment and letting her manipulate him and then acting like nothing happened when he sees his wife. It just feels like cheating, because that girl is obsessed with him. I know things are about to get worse, but can this Fang Lei get dealt with. She is delusional. I love that the relationship between the sisters is getting better. Qiao Lin’s ex is delusional too . 🤦🏻‍♀️ Ugh!! The frustration is real with this one. Looking forward to the next episodes . Let’s get this divorce soon.

Exactly. And from what I have read his parents knew from the beginning as well , so they have all been manipulating her. The MIL wanted someone to take care of his son and other household responsibilities. They knew because of her background they could use her unlike a socialite with a wealthy family. In my opinion their lies are not on the same level. His mask is coming off and to me he is scarier.

I have not watched today’s episodes yet, but I was thinking about the upcoming divorce and had some thoughts. I assume he will expose her lies to his parents to justify the divorce, but his parents have grown to like her and have seen the good she has done for their family. So my thought is will they see past those lies and want him to fix things with her. That’s probably too much to ask for. That would be so satisfying if she had actually won over his parents and they want her to stay because she is good for him and their family. She has helped so much with his son. I guess I will wait and see.

I think the divorce will be around episode 16, but then again from the trailer it looks like they go through a time of distancing from each other before they actually divorce. Divorce is mentioned in episode 14 , but from the teaser it looks like he won’t agree to it yet. In the trailer it shows them go to an event and she is holding his arm and he pulls away. Also shows them sleeping in their bed with their backs to each other. So the divorce may not happen until episode 17. Just depends how long they drag out the situation.

Wow! I hope they don’t have him cheat on her. For me that is crossing a line that is pretty hard to come back from. Actually cheating in my opinion is blowing up the connection between a couple. Putting those pieces back together takes a miracle.

I just finished watching this and I loved it from beginning to end. 💖💖 Lee Chae Min was amazing as the king and I have always loved Lim Yoon A ever since King the Land. Their chemistry was off the charts. The ending was everything I wanted and needed. I will miss these characters so much. I hope to see them both in another romance. The king was so handsome in modern times as well. 🥰 How do I move on from this? I highly recommend this! It is quite the adventure.

😩 I thought that childhood friend would give up after the wedding. This is going to be a bumpy ride.

I enjoyed all the episodes so far, but I had to pause every time I thought she might be exposed. 🫣 I was so worried for her. I understand why she is lying about her family because his mother would have never let them get married. I believe she does love him. There are a few things that are questionable about him, but I was buying into that he is a wonderful man that truly loves her. So I went and watched the trailer again and some previews of upcoming episodes and remembered that he is lying too. This is what I have pieced together: he had several relationships when he was in London and even has an illegitimate child. The boy is his son not his brother. He knows she is lying about her family, but he chose her because he thinks he can easily manipulate her . This is going to be a roller coaster ride. 😩😢

Wow! I just finished episode 1 , and I think I will enjoy this. The styling of Lusi is so pretty. I want to watch more episodes, but I am getting sleepy. 😴 Maybe I can watch one more episode, since tomorrow is Saturday. Definitely binge watching tomorrow! 💖

I have not watched episode 5 yet so maybe that will clear some things up for me. But everyone is mentioning Stella Young, who is that? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am a little confused. If anyone can explain to me what is going on, I would greatly appreciate that under a spoiler tag of course. I must be missing some things. I understand the basic story , but again maybe I am missing some new details. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I loved the male lead’s voice. I could listen to him read anything to me. I enjoyed this overall. Not perfect, but still enjoyable. 🥰

We know a few things about their marriage. I believe they had been married three years. They have no children which his family was upset about. He told his wife thank you for coming back home to be with him while he runs for president. So they must have been living apart due to her political position which she said she gave up for him. That would make sense why she has not got pregnant if they are living apart. I’m not sure, just a few things I gathered. I do feel that they loved each other. 🤷🏻‍♀️
