Tbh, this season was such a disappointment. They should just end it up with the first season. Too bad, I liked the concept of it. The plot had potentials but alas, just like most of the other Chinese series, it ended up ruined by bad execution and dragging it up to fill the eps. Cuz this season could been better with 15 or so eps! *sigh*
Woah... hahaha! I knew that Ming Lan was smart but this... this is beyond smart. She's grasping all the people in her little soft palms and moving them like a puppets hahahaha I've never seen cunning/smart (no, genius)/daring MC is a long long time... and oohh boy don't I love her XXD
Finally, that useless/brainless father started using his brain... wait do brainless people have a brain to begin with XD, I even wonder how did he highed up the ranks and scored his place in the palace lol. Joking aside, I can't wait to see how he'll deal with those snakes.
Mo Lan thinks it will be like a walk in the park once she marries. Little did she know it will be hell. And I can't wait to see myself enjoying her suffering.
Man, I pity the eldest sister. The father was all big and sweet talking to appease the mother's worries not taking them into consideration, now look what happened. I really hope she get to divorce her shitty in-laws and take her daughter and son with her.
Also, when will we get to see Ming Lan and uncle Gu's together again. I just can't wait anymore TT
This show had so much potential, too bad the execution wasn't as intended to be. It would be great if it only was a 60-70 eps. It had a great start, it got totally dragged in the middle and gathered it pace again on the last part and of course, a somehow-good ending.
Overall, I was gonna give it 6 but for the sake of the ending I'll give it 6.5/10. Kudos to the actors and production staff~
I just have one question. I don't really get why Gu Dongmae cut off Aesin's hair ?? Like I don't get what he gained…
The reason why Dong Mae cut her hair, is that when he saw the list of rebels during her parents time in Japan that he saw the real name of Ae Sin's parents shown in the flashback at the temple, Dong Mae knew that Lee Wan Ik is looking for her as the daughter of whom he killed in Japan long time ago, so in order to cut her ties from her noble family, this is the way that he can do in order to protect and save her from the enemies..(In my opinion)
Tbh, I really wanted to drop this so many times but I couldn't due to my ''if you watched a second you must see it to the end'' syndrome LOL and I'm glad I did cuz the ending totally make it up for all the frustrating/dull moments!
And here I thought "Something in the Rain" and "The Great Seducer" had the worst second part ever but nope... this one takes the cake; from a break up to losing a kid to attempting suicide to divorce to cancer... and it all happened so suddenly just for the sake of adding more makjang (as if it was not enough to begin with) Whoa!! just what the heck was the writer thinking. I mean I expected it to have a sad ending but this... (of course I'm happy about the leads' brother and sister's ending ) but the rest was just a complete disaster.
Such a waste of talented cast and hardworking staff!
Are an 18 years old Male lead and 21-28 years old Female lead a trend now in China or something? XXD Cuz I've seen it a lot in dramas lately. Well, not that I'm complaining!

Such a waste of talented cast and hardworking staff!
For me, this version just felt a little bit shallow!
