You definitely can write about your personal opinion But always wrong is wrong There is no explanation or excuse…
Cheating is wrong, no matter the context (i.e. even if the other party is also cheating). Even if he was unhappy with DJ wife, he should have tried to take a firm stand with her, communicate properly (and not in the childish cutesy way he so often does with her at first) so that she could see where he was coming from or end it with the loss of his inheritance and move on with Ah Mi - rather than cheat and get her pregnant out of wedlock.

Easier said than done, I know but if one has cheated before, at least then be responsible enough to know that it was wrong and be willing to admit it and face the consequences.

This show started out promising but then it just went weird and almost distasteful in so some ways. A bit too much dialogue as well and sometimes it felt very contrived and sometimes it felt like it was trying to be something that it's not.
That said, I hope season 2 will be a justice and redemption arc!

This drama had so much potential....it would have been a lot better if there was less crying, less screaming and a little bit faster paced. I had to skip scenes in order for me to get through the boredom...
Also, writer - please note that #1) forcing to pick up a girl from is stalkery behaviour, not gentlemany and #2) hugging a girl from behind and refusing to let her go when she's struggling and saying no is NOT the least bit romantic, and in fact kinda RAPEY.
Like seriously. WTF.

Review Blood
Yep. Just finished it and boy, what a train wreck it was, especially toward the end with everyone just dying for no good reason. This story had a lot of potential, so it's a pity about the bad writing and plots that ended up nowhere.

It's been a while since I watched a recent k-drama romcom with so much heart. Your review could not have described it any better. :)

As much as I like the main actor....wow, this first episode was especially difficult to watch - what with the very bad accents and acting from the extras, all the non-Korea scenes are trying way too hard to get that Hollywood gleam...It doesn't help that the plot is pretty far-fetched too, so you're going to have to suspend a giant bucket load of disbelief in order to get through it....From episode 2 onwards, it's much "easier" to watch, but that being said....the lead actress is a little annoying.

I really dislike triangle love stories/plots that have the OTP not being together because of one side not willing to be honest and allowing the misunderstanding to destroy the relationship....also really dislike the "third" party acting like a good guy but at the same time being cowardly despite being the cause of said misunderstanding....

Five minutes in and I was hooked. And it's been quite a while since I've watched a K-drama premiere episode that was able to captivate me throughout the show. Can't wait to watch the rest of it!

Yep - so sorry for all of you who totally failed to see or understand the awesomeness of this show. The romance…
TFN, I was talking to Irusu in my second comment posted above, but do feel free to chip in to that exchange.

I already stated the reasons I don't like this show in my very first comment and I've even further explained the definition of how good on screen chemistry works for me (funny enough, nothing beats a real couple like Ji Hyun-woo and Yoo In-na in Queen In-hyun's Man and of course, the famous Song-Song couple in DOTS), and how the mystery/thriller/action aspect of the show wasn't as good for me as compared to say, e.g. Signal (which was the 2nd highest rated drama last year on cable, losing out to Goblin, which was also awesome for me) so I don't know how else you expect me to explain why I don't LOVE this drama like you do.

It's like trying to explain why I prefer chocolate ice cream over vanilla or why I love Linkin Park over Blake Shelton. I don't know if any amount of justifying my personal preferences to you would ever be enough for your satisfaction, if you were say, a vanilla ice cream and country music fan. It's just how that cookie crumbles!

If it helps, let me break down my original comment in 2 points:
1. Plot devices that did not work for me - some of the conflicts were just too easily tied up or figured out by the villains - thus it was very obvious that they were forcing things to happen, rather than let it happen organically/naturally. You may disagree, but that's what it felt like to me in MY opinion.

2. Inconsistencies in pacing marring the effectiveness of a scene being potentially great - some parts moved along way too fast (see point 1), while lots of time were spent on other parts which did not feel that necessary for the overall plot. Heck, even Ji Chang Wook himself commented that he felt that there were too many intimate scenes in this show (which btw is nothing wrong if that's your thing and you're a huge romance fan): https://www.soompi.com/2015/02/22/ji-chang-wook-thinks-healer-had-too-many-intimate-scenes/

BTW, I also think it's interesting to note that though the show was very popular outside Korea, it received rather low ratings when it aired domestically. For most of its episodes, MBC’s Pride and Prejudice did beat out Healer (on KBS2) and Punch (on SBS), making it the highest-rated drama in its time slot. (http://bit.ly/2yl2sLk)

Maybe you need to speak to some actual Koreans and find out why they didn't enjoy it as much as you. Maybe they can provide you with more enlightenment on that matter.

Thank you, and I hope you didn't think I was bashing our friend. lol. I'm just very amused by how offended she is that there are actually people in this world who did not enjoy the show as much as she did.

If we're going to talk about great romances - to me, nothing beats Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye in Coffee Prince and Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In in Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Hee!

Eh, I said it reminded me of City Hunter, but I never said I liked CH. :/
Anyway, yah, agree with you that Healer wasn't enough for me. I prefer W and Signal if we're talking about thriller/action/mystery genre.
And your comment about chemistry is hilarious, it's got nothing to do with the producer as it's something indefinable between actors, and it doesn’t even have to be necessarily romantic (think Lee Je Hoon, Kim Hye Soo and Jo Jin Woong in Signal - where so much emotion can be conveyed and understood with just one look exchanged between them and that's what I really liked about their characters).

Anyway, I'm happy that you love Healer and the actors in it so much, but you need to also learn that everyone is different and not everyone likes the same things you do. Different is what makes us individual and unique and there's NOTHING wrong with being a minority (as long as it doesn't intend to hurt others). It is what makes the world interesting and creative. Can you imagine what it would be like if everyone liked the sames things and thought the same thoughts? How boring and monotonous would the world be then?

Honey, I actually really like Ji Chang Wook. You just have to accept that this show is not everyone's cup of tea and not be bitter about it.

It's wasn't that unique, really. This show and some of the characters reminded me a lot of City Hunter. And I'm perfectly fine with straight forward romances as long as the leads have chemistry and are convincing as a couple (e.g. Queen In-hyun’s Man, The King 2 Hearts, 1% of Anything, W, etc) - the actors are great individually but because I've seen better pairings, this one didn't quite make the cut for me and it's just my opinion.

Didn't enjoy it and I found myself rooting for the 2nd lead and the prince's first love instead.
There wasn't that much chemistry between the 2 leads anyway, and the plot sometimes moved soooo slow I basically lost interest towards the end even though there was a big "incident" that happened because I could already predict that all would end well for the leads.

I must be 1 of the 5 people in the world who DID NOT enjoy this. The romance and chemistry between the leads didn't feel natural to me and some of the plot conflicts were just too easily tied up or too easily figured out by the villains. There were inconsistencies in pacing and while the beginning was good, I found it really hard to complete towards the second half of the series. So many unnecessary scenes or scenes that had potential to be great, but fell short of becoming so, and just fell flat in it's effectiveness.

Review Healer
Wow, i finally found a review that didn't give this show a 10/10! I am not a fan of the female character and I didn't understand why so many people found her "interesting" and "brave" (frankly I found her bravery quite stupid, because in real life, she would've been easily murdered twenty times over if she wasn't with Healer)

Anyway, agree with your comments that it's a good drama, but not worth the hype. I was left feeling rather disappointed with it TBH.

For some reason, this drama reminds me alot of BoF, but thanks to the non-cliche story lines, this is like 10 times better than that.
