I was waiting this whole time to see Shin’s like GIANT family he led me to believe in the first episodes as the reason he first came to the laundromat before he met minato (and ofc afterwards he came to see him). But like every time we see his place it like has two people in it of his fam in total. Episode 12 and still the house looks almost always empty save his sister and once his little brother so like WHERE TF ARE THEY SHIN?????

Firstly, I’m so glad that they didn’t drag the university/moving/letter confusion out bc that has 10/10 happened in many other dramas I’ve watched. The series ended so so perfectly, especially with the updated outro at the end and the ending voiceover message mirroring the other episode endings to bring it full circle. Because that is the common theme of the story, like the spinning of the laundry washer: full circle. Shin’s love coming full circle to meet his first love, teacher Sakuma who returns to town and councils his past student once more, Asuka acknowledging and finding courage to confess his old/new/continual feelings, minato getting over his first unrequited love, minato returning to his hometown and roots, minato and Shin returning time and time again to the beach and the laundromat which were scenes of both of their past loves and heartbreak. But instead of the past (minato) or the future (Shin) consuming them both, they meet at the center of this “cycle” (a laundry pun, I know) and find honesty, bravery, and acceptance through one another. The water signifies a cleansing (like the title, Wash my Heart) and becoming new and I felt that the end when they feel in the water signified their new start together. I just feel so whole after watching! Many said it was slow but it seemed to fit the scene of the summer in a small ocean seaside town to me, and had an everyday slice of life feel to it for that environment. I also could honestly watch them all in a special episode just like doing everyday things together all day they are all so wholesome 💜

I thought so too, and that Korn has been essentially keeping her children Porsche and Chay in his control (hostage) since youth with their “uncle” and pulling strings to have him close to him—so she potentially shuts down or even puts on a facade. Also the mention of killing the husband her her family seems an indicator as well!

I literally screeched when Kim lowkey dropkicked over the bar counter into that one guy and just kept flipping over the countertop. Also funniest scene goes to Chay thinking his video game sounds were so realistic while Kim kick ass in the background—I need more in season 2

Questions/Ideas for Season 2:
-Erika is not dead but makes a comeback 🥲
-Vegas investigated more into his father, tries to reconciles his ghosts, maybe a team of loyalists try to rally behind him despite his “I don’t want anything more to do with the main/minor family”
-Pete’s past comes back, or honestly I would just love Vegas to meet Pete’s Grandma, and they make food together, PLEASE and please just have Macau stuff his cheeks and I’ll be good
-I wouldn’t mind some Vegas flashback scenes to his childhood, idk why or how but I want them
-Kinn and Porsche at odds due to some minor/major family dispute and overcoming the old blood/rivalries or seeming betrayal, and they have to find their way back to each other
-3rd group tries to take over the main/minor family and they have to join forces
-Porsche or Chay find something out about their mother and how their mother became part of the family
- I LITERALLY just want Porsche/Chay’s mom to whisper to one of her sons like “they’re listening, not here”, and you realize she is feigning her condition and something else is afoot
-Resolution about what Porsche/Chay’s uncle and Kun were going to say before someone SHOT THEM (why is no one asking about this???)
-Tankhun literally doing anything and just being a sassy over the top intelligent boss 👑
-Kim and Chay…idk what I want to happen but I kind of like this Chay being oblivious and Kim just beating the shit out of attackers trying to use him scenarios. I love it.
-Chay finds his way back to music without it being about Wik/Kim, but for himself this time
-I want Vegas in another 70’s-inspired retro suit, please 🎉

THANK YOU! That last scene with Chay and Porsche and their mother made it look sweet but I saw this fearful look in her eyes, leading me to believe that she may be trapped and maybe not as “deficient” as she would lead others to believe. Maybe she saw the families power over life and death of her loved ones which made her go along with it and feign illness to survive—this brings a whole new meaning to the fact that one of Koran’s men was always watching over Porsche and Chay since their youth (their “uncle”). Maybe it was always endgame to have her as a tool for when Kun showed up, thus why Korn feigned being poisoned/dead. Or the plan was to have her as a pawn in a game to have his “nephew” take over the minor family eventually all along, pulling the strings of circumstance to bring Porsche closer to use him. (The only thing I’m quite certain is that Korn probably never saw the relationship element coming).

Also literally Korn had been lying to everyone constantly to the point that it’s hard to tell truth from fiction, so why believe what he says at all? that and he has a bad habit of I suspect of also killing people before they reveal something important (Porsche’s “uncle”, Kun, etc). I wouldn’t be surprised if Korn manipulated his brother to take out Porsche’s father (though the assault seems on par with his obsession for his foster sister, did he indeed commit such an act, or was it her husband being gunned down in front of her that sent her over the edge?) I’m literally screaming that NO ONE was curious about what they were to say before they were *mysteriously* shot??? And how many times is he going to use the excuse “just protecting you” and people will be okay with it? I’m not buying it, and I am also not buying this that Korn did not know about how hard times had fallen on the brothers, provided they were his pseudo-“nephews”

Also took me a moment to realize the actor for Akira is the subordinate friend in Cherry Magic/Rokkaku—but I had absolutely no clue the actor for Shin was the class president in Kieta Hatsukoi until your comment here, like, WOW
