That’s exactly how I felt about “Are you the One,” the “Rise of Ning,” even “Kill Me, Love Me”. What I understand is that the mls in these novels are major red flags, and quite passionate about possessing the fls (body and soul), which does not translate well with censorship. They want the mls to be complete green forest so they only take some elements of the novels while ignoring a lot of stuf, like the complexity of the characters in some cases.

Did I get the flashbacks wrong because

She was almost grape by her second sister’s husband (I thought it was her sister not cousin?). He did not succeed. He did that either before or after she was married to the duke’s son. While she married the duke, she was treated bad by everyone in that household. I am not sure how long she was married but the duke’s son died and she didn’t travel to Nancy…wasn’t she exiled there after her father was hang to death and that’s when she met the ml.

For me, it’s the acting, the voice and the character.
