You should give Love & Destiny a try. The leads, Ni Ni and Chen Chang, don’t normally appear in dramas, as they are more movie stars, so I was pleasently surprised to see them starred in an xianxia drama and they delivered!

The best xianxia in my opinion in the terms of acting and delivery is Love & Destiny. Nothing, I mean, nothing comes close. The angst, the acting. The ml is a bit older though, and not pretty boy.

So how does it end?

I am at ep 29, and I still don’t like her. It’s pretty much a done deal that she’s getting a redemption arc because the plot demands it. She killed innocent people and with such malice & glee, yet people are saying she should be redeemed because she was a product of her environment and because she had lost her memories. I can’t warm up to this character no matter what.
