Why couldn’t he give the antidote to the fl before his rescue attempt and instead of giving it to the sml? So many questions. Perhaps I should continue this drama (I’m at ep 6), but I am reluctant to do so because of the sad ending.

I was actually a bit suprised to read in the novel that the ml finished 3rd in one of the exams (not sure if it was the imperial one). Why do they have to make the ml so perfect in cdramas. This one was a whole Amazon rainforest.

I enjoyed reading your summary. I agree regarding the ml’s acting. There was a “romantic” scene when he smiled and the smile was a bit creepy and seemed forced. For reference see ep 19, at 14:30. Unfortunately, I felt his romantic scenes with the fl after they got together a bit awkward and forced. That’s just my opinion.
