Have you watched Love & Destiny? The ml (Jiuchen) in L&D is no Yehua. Jiuchen was imposing, had main character vibes, screen presence, was manly. No one and nothing could take the fl away from him, not even death itself. He was constantly fighting for her survival. Taking her eyes like Yehua (argh!), he would never!

But, I admit, Juichen was much older than Yehua and this ml. He was also the God of War (and the best one I’ve seen so far). The actor who played Juichen is also a seasoned actor and can act with his eyes alone. I recommend Love & Destiny if you want to see next level acting. The cast is older so no skinny pretty innocent boy in the role of the God of War!

I realized that she’s a great being from the episodes, but the trailers don’t show her doing any badass stuff! Guess I’ll have to wait and see!

Tbh, I wouldn’t mind if the fl don’t end up with the ml. I don’t feel their love. Matter fact they had barely gotten together, before the scheming began and ish hits the fan. I was ready to go to war for the Fl and the ML to get together in Love & Destiny, here, in TLI, the romance is very meh to me. I am not moved.The ml is so gullible and weak, and has no main character vibes.Am I too harsh? Thoughts?

Feng Yin is what? a Phoenix Goddess? Why do you ladies and gents keep saying she’s « badass ». This is based on what? Why do you say she’ll get revenge? This is based on what?

I’m at ep 17, and I don’t even feel like watching it and wants to go straight to ep 24, but that episode will likely air next Monday! Why 1 episode a day? ArghThe ml is so green and doesn’t suspect anyone! He is so unaware of his surroundings!! Argh Even his sword is smarter than him, as you could see in ep 17. lol

Same here. I come here for the comments and go straight to the next day’s preview for each episode. I don’t bother watching the episode. This show is so frustrating and the acting by the fl is infuriating. Her and her dad are not even worth cheering for; they are both TSTL at this point.

For example, the dad is suspicious of SR but decided to do everything on his own, and will likely die before the truth is revealed. It’ll take the fl almost dying by way of drowning for her to finally wake up and even then, she won’t plan her revenge strategically.

The only reason I am continue watching this drama is to see the karma of the cheater husband and his mom and SR and her mom!

Thanks again for the explanation. I am still salty at Yehua! Well, she decided to erase her memories of him the first time, and was angry the second time, and the ml stayed outside her cave for 7 days (not long enough). they didn’t really have time to talk it out because of what happened next in the show.

I saw the previews of ep 23-24…and we are still in the past smh. This is a 40 ep show and 24 episodes later, we are still in the first arc. I am afraid that the second arc and final arc will be rushed. Too many filler episodes and nothing consequential happened in all these episodes. I have yet to see the ml show progress in his abilities. He does not give me main character vibes at all.

By the previews, she’s still not reborn by ep 23. It may happen in ep 24 or 25. The first arc was way too long. Nothing consequential happened really. Even the fl and ml’s adventures to find the lost essence were very formulaic: arrive at location, someone guarding the tree or object containing the essence will appear, they will either talk or fight that individual, and in the end the one guarding it will give it to them or they will defeat that individual and take it. This scenario is repeated a number of times.

The ml feels like a side character, and not giving me « main character » vibes. I hope he will become more imposing when he becomes the true God and his powers are no longer sealed

Ikr!! I am having a hard time rooting for the ml. If I was the fl I would not give him the time and day. I would give him that look Bain Bain gave to Yehua when he first met her as a Goddess.

After 24 episodes, the fl still has not died. The ml will likely use his sword on her on ep 24 or 25, then she has to go through 27 reincarnations (this part will be rushed, and we likely we will not see all her reincarnations), so second arc will begin around ep 25. The first arc was too long!
