ZQ+JJ seems to be an unpopular pairing. It makes a lot of sense to argue that ZQ's just confused about his feelings and has merely been misled into thinking he has romantic feelings for JJ when they are "only" brotherly. In all likelihood, the show probably won't put them together--but I'm still offering critical support for them.
For all her issues, Grandma made a solid observation regarding marraige in the ep. 26 flashback . Rather than being based on some notion of "romance" (a lack of which was cited by HM as a reason for not wanting to marry HC in 1999), sucessful long-term relationships are stable and upheld by lao shi ren--not to say that LX isn't, but instead that it describes ZQ equally; no less and no more than it does the former. Our baker would make just as good of a husband to JJ a decade from now is what I mean. To be honest, I think their personalities are a better match. I also don't think it's fair to assume that our brooding dentist coming on strongly and being more keen to smooch JJ necessarily means that ZQ never stood a chance or that he's out of touch with his own emotions.
